Went to a Paris Baguette in Seoul, so it was really fun to come to this new store in east Plano and re-live the good memories. I got the ham and cheese croissant. It delivered. Oddly I donāt like Swiss cheese, but somehow this croissant makes it delicious. It could be all of the yummy Parmesan cheese on the top.
For a Tuesday morning this place was hopping. The service was super friendly and welcoming. If you havenāt been to one before the concept is cool. You grab a tray, a piece of wax paper and a set of tongs. Then you walk around the cases trying to resist the pastries.(Good luck, they look delicious)
I also go a cream cheese filled donut. Be prepared for things to be less sweet than you are use to. My donut was sweet, mostly because of the sugar on it. But just the right amount of sweet, not hurt your teeth sweet.
Another good sign, it was about 9:30am and some employees on break were sitting down to eat. I have a theory that if the staff will eat it, then it must be good. Theyāve been in the kitchen, they know how things are cleaned and prepared.
I canāt testify to the coffee as I had already had a cup at home. I will say lots of people ordered it and the one person came in just for coffee.
The place is well lite and airy. Itās on a corner of the shopping center and they took advantage of the spot with all windows. Itās located at Parker and Ave K.
Also, many of the customers were Asian, that speaks to the authenticity of the place.
Give it a try! Itās a fun breakfast date with friends, family or that special person...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe Paris Baguette nearest me was finally open, so we had to check if the hype measured up to the goods they had for sale. āŗļø
Pros: the place was pleasant and welcoming, a line had formed, their trays contained a heap of sweet and savory options, looking quite pretty, so we went thru the aisles armed with our tongs and trays. Service was quick enough, and seats were plenty.
Cons: the flavor was lacking where it was needed most, we got a Coffee Bun, a Dubai Chocolate Mochi donut, a Pastel de Nata, a slice of Strawberry Pistachio Cake, a Mango smoothie and Iced Green tea. The food display was plenty, but were ordinary selections you could get from any regular Greenville Avenue bakery. Nothing eye-popping that we āhad toā try. Didnāt particularly like the špistachioš°, the syrup used reminded me of those plastic balloons we squeezed out of tubes and blew up with a tiny straw as kids.
One more thing: please give your staff a microphone to call out orders, their voices are sounding more tired the longer we sat there.
If I had to come back, maybe would try other items on display. But NGL, Iād line up for an hour at 85ā instead, knowing they had the...

I donāt usually write reviews, but this place deserves a warning label. I walked in expecting a nice pastry and coffee ā you know, the āParisā in the name made me think I was getting something classy. Instead, I got a horror show straight out of a health inspection nightmare.
Right when I got to the pastry case, I noticed actual flies buzzing around INSIDE the display ā yes, inside, crawling on the croissants and landing on the cakes like they owned the place. I pointed it out to the staff, and they just shrugged like it was totally normal. One even tried to tell me they were ājust fruit flies.ā Um, I donāt care what kind of flies they are ā they shouldnāt be anywhere near food Iām about to eat!
The coffee tasted burnt, the pastries were stale, and honestly, after seeing those flies, I couldnāt even finish anything. The whole place smelled weird, like sour milk mixed with cleaning spray.
Save yourself the trip (and your stomach). If this is supposed to be a ātaste of Paris,ā then Paris must have serious fly problems. šŖ°
