K Town Food Court — Restaurant in Plano

Update: Sometimes the main chef doesn’t seem to cook himself, so the taste has changed slightly. Just a heads up!

H-mart food court just recently reopened with a new set of restaurant stalls. I can’t speak for every food stall, but this review is for KYODONG NOODLES.

If you love Korean version of Chinese Chinese food or if you noodles, you HAVE to visit Kyodong. Not only are the noodles cooked so well, but the portions are also just gigantic! (I have lived in Dallas and Seoul for a long time and have never seen such portion sizes in my life.) We did order extra noodles…but still shockingly large!

Also, Kyodong’s owner/chef is so generous and kind; his joy is evident in the food he creates. We visited him twice this week already. Both times we left with smiles and...

I have eaten here more than half a dozen times in the last 4 years, despite the difficulties that faced food service industry recently some of the places here have persevered.

They recently renovated this year and it's a much nicer feeling area than before, ordering is a little awkward, you have to go to a counter that is somewhat tucked off to the left side, and at that time you can't communicate with the actual stall you are ordering from so if what you want is no longer available or not what you thought it was it might be hard to determine. That being said, I've always been able to find food I enjoyed and the atmosphere is great now that it is busier than it was...

I am kinda Ja-jang-myun lover, but KYODONG NOODLE's Ja-jang-myun is the worst noodle in my 30 years Ja-jang life. Something like under-cooked feeling noodle makes me unhappy and the amount of Ja-jang source is not enough. That caused total dried tasting with too salty on my tongue. The cook in the kitchen, I think, he makes it similar look only without tasting. Please, my local friends!! Don't believe that this black noodle is genuine Ja-jang noodle after trying it in here. And don't expect Jaeng-ban Ja-jang is higher quality with better taste because you pay more. I do regret myself now. Bye...
