I've eaten at numerous Popeyes restaurants in the past several years. They've all been good. This is a new location in Plano, TX. Most of the reviews are for the 6013 K Ave address. The receipt says 1200 E Spring Creek Pkwy, but I've been told the correct location is 1600 E Spring Creek Pkwy, in the same parking lot as Sam's Club, and near the Quick Trip gas station. They have 2 drive thru lanes, but I decided to dine inside. I was greeted by the Host/Assistant Manager Jonathan. We visited for a few minutes. He told me about this new location. He answered all my questions, including coupons, Military, and Senior Discounts. I was very impressed. He was courteous, well spoken, and professional. The Manager is Claudia. Gabriela took my order, and checked on me while I was eating to make sure everything was ok. It was. On my next visit Ky took my order, and Jonathan was also there. There was a misunderstanding about my order, and it was my fault. Look at the receipt. Ky was very patient, and had to redo my order. Sorry, and thank you Ky! Jonathan said they had already prepared my original order, and gave it to me for free. Thank you Jonathan! AUGUST 7, 2025 UPDATE: I came in near the dine-in closing time of 10 PM. No problem. Manuel took my order. He's helped me before. He said it would take around 10 minutes for fresh cooked chicken. I was happy to wait. I talked with Gabriela for a minute. She helped me when this location first opened. Antonio just started, and had a positive attitude. Popeyes has always been good, but tonight was the best I've ever had. Thank you Manuel, Gabriela, and Antonio!!! AUGUST 17, 2025 UPDATE: I talked with Ali and the manager Heidy outside when they were putting a new offer sign on the window. Heidy told me about the new special offers. She answered other questions I had, and said Claudia & Gabriela had gone to Houston. Manuel took my order. He said it would take 10 minutes before the fresh cooked chicken would be ready. I'm always happy to wait for a fresh batch. He gave me a courtesy drink cup while I waited. Because of the wait, Manuel gave me an extra piece of chicken. Thank you! It was as good as the last time. Heidy, Manuel, and Ali were knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. I was disappointed to find that the employees working at the register did not speak English, which made it difficult for me to place my order. Despite this, I ordered two $5 boxes, each with 3 pieces of chicken and a half dozen biscuits. However, when I got home, I discovered that my order was incorrect and I was missing 2 pieces of chicken. I called the location and the manager instructed me to bring my receipt for a replacement order. This experience has left me dissatisfied and concerned about the quality of service at your establishment. While I appreciate the employee's effort to fix my order, I couldn't help but feel like something was off. The way she and the manager were looking at me and laughing made me uncomfortable. It also concerns me that the preparation of food at this location is not visible to customers. Upon arriving home, I noticed that the biscuits I paid for were old and dry. To make matters worse, I found a long strand of hair and what appeared to be lint on my chicken. I told my son, don't eat that throw it away mind you he had ate a piece of chicken before I looked at it.I called the manager to complain and informed him that I will be reporting this to corporate. I went up around 8:30 on a weeknight for a quick meal earlier this week. I pulled up to an empty drive thru. I was asked to hold one moment. After about 5 minutes of waiting, I started talking to the box. Staff came on and took my order a few minutes later. Then I was told to pull up to the first window.
I pulled up to the first window. The guy looks at me through the window. Then he ignores me for about 5 minutes. Finally opens the window and takes my payment. Closes the windows again, and tries his best not to make eye contact with me for the next 5 minutes. Right about the time that it starts to get a bit awkward, he walks off and is gone for the next 10 minutes.
He finally comes back with my food, but by now, it's been about 20 minutes since I first pulled up to the restaurant.
I understand the service industry is suffering right now, but 20 minutes without a word from staff setting expectations for a longer wait or an apology made me less understanding, especially while I'm staring at a Raising Canes turning over 10 vehicles while in the Popeyes drive thru.
