Today I visited this location and received horrible, offensive imprudent service. This complaint is directed towards the service I received from the store "manager" himself, "Roger" who decided to act in a manner that was rude, demeaning, and passive aggressive. He also thought it was proper to say to a customer, "Get the HELL out of here" in front of my two young children over a SIDE OF SALSA.
I will not go over the details of the incident here but regardless of what the situation was, how this manager handled the situation was not acceptable. The manager was obviously emotionally distressed for no apparent reason and started making comments that were not appropriate in addition to addressing me as "baby" and "honey" throughout the conversation. When I started to take a picture of my leftover salsa, he violently grabbed all the plates off the table telling me that I could not take pictures clearly because he knew this was something that did not have to be escalated to this point. The poor and sweet waitress came up and told me that she was so sorry about his behavior which is a good evidence of and abundantly clear the negative ambience he is creating in the restaurant. I CANNOT fathom him being a position of leadership and wow, what a great role model he is for all the waitstaff and children at the restaurant.
There was no point in talking to this "manager" who clearly has no boundaries so I decided to walk away so I could speak to the owner at a later time. As mentioned earlier, as I walked out, he shouted, "Get the HELL OUT OF HERE" in front of about 20+ customers and my children. Needless to say, this is probably the worst restaurant I have ever been to, and to receive poor treatment from the store manager nonetheless is absolutely pitiful. The comments he made, the tone of his voice and the level of sheer disrespect illustrates poor and awful customer service skills I have ever experienced in my life. I have forwarded a complaint to the owner to ensure this kind of customer service does not happen again to other...
Read moreDear Salsas Tex-Mex Management,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with a recent visit to your restaurant. As a frequent patron, I have come to expect a certain level of service and quality, but my latest experience fell significantly short.
During our visit, my father ordered chicken fajitas and specifically requested that the grilled onions be sautéed a little longer. When his order arrived, the onions were burnt and tasted like charcoal, rendering them inedible. I have attached a picture for reference.
We brought this to the attention of our waiter and requested to speak with the manager. After a few minutes, a male manager came to our table to address the situation. Unfortunately, his response was extremely unprofessional. He argued that we had ordered the grilled onions well done and that we had received exactly that. He claimed that if we had requested the onions to be more caramelized, they would not have been burnt. He also mentioned that the hot skillet caused the onions to burn, but did not acknowledge that this should not have resulted in such poor quality.
Throughout the conversation, the manager repeatedly interrupted us and refused to listen to our concerns. He continued to argue rather than attempting to resolve the issue or offer a solution. This interaction was frustrating and disappointing.
I hope you take this feedback seriously and address these issues to ensure that such experiences do not occur in the future. Quality food and respectful, professional service are crucial to maintaining customer loyalty.
Thank you for your attention to this...
Read moreI love good quality, authentic, and tasty Tex-Mex food, so I was excited to try Salsa for the very first time and quite frankly, it was a major disappointment. The restaurant is nice in environment with decent music but poor in infrastructure and bar setup. Very casual and caters to a more casual and basic clientele. The waiter was fantastic in speed and reception, but left a lot to be desired in terms of customer service and friendliness.
The food is extremely Americanized so those looking for something more authentic, I would refrain from this restaurant (tamales and cheddar cheese…really?) It is clear those that say is authentic have never traveled nor have tasted more upscale and authentic food.
In terms of food quality, the street tacos are decent, but the tamale plate is abysmal. Extremely cold, and felt like the food was reheated and old for days. A shame because I was really expecting a bit more quality due to the reviews and recommendations from friends. The tamales are definitely very Americanized and not authentic. Much to be left desired on the rice and beans. Salsa was okay but tasted like it had no fresh ingredients whatsoever. Overall, the bean dip was the only memorable thing of the night. No fresh ingredients, no fresh food, and no customer service was bound to lead to an unfortunate conclusion.
A true shame, truly. Mi Dia will retain my business as well as other Tex-Mex restaurants in the area but Salsa is officially crossed off my list in terms of authenticity and quality;...
