This place markets itself as a "from scratch" burger spot, but it’s hard to tell how much of that is real versus just branding. Some ingredients may be made from scratch, but it’s not obvious. And when it comes to a burger place, the focus should always be on the burger itself.
The Good: The ratios were well-balanced. Nothing overwhelmed the other ingredients. The ingredients were fresh. The bun was toasted with the flavor of butter, which added a nice touch. The fries were fresh and crispy, though they could have used more salt. Portion size was solid—felt like a full meal.
The Not-So-Good: The burger patty was a letdown. While it had a nice chargrilled flavor, the meat itself was too dry. It was hard to tell if it was a fresh patty that had been overcooked or a frozen one that got hit with too much heat. Either way, the execution wasn’t there. For $14 without a drink, the quality should be better.
Final Thoughts: Maybe it was an off day. But for a place that specializes in burgers and has been around a while, you’d expect them to nail the basics—especially the meat.
Visited at off-peak hour, with very little activity in the kitchen. Plenty of time to focus on doing things correctly.
If they get that right, this could be a much...
Read moreI first want to say the food was great as always! Service was horrible! We were in a long line around 11:20 today. A large group of women who volunteer for Minnie's was in front of us, each ordering separately. Another large group came in behind us. The line was moving slow. We then notice the large group behind us, were ordering from the "To Go" window but sitting down. This is wrong on the group behind us and the staff working! By the time we were able to order the large group behind us were already seated. We said something, as it was just rude for those of us that had been standing in line waiting. The staff did not seem to care at all. The group behind us received their order before all the ladies with Minnie's. So half of that group was done eating by the time the rest of them received their order. Said something again when picking up our food and again the staff did not seem to care at all and actually laughed. We go to this location many times, and the food and service is always good. Today it was not! If you are going to open the "To go" to take orders for people sitting, you should say next person in line, and not take the group from behind. This type of service is...
Read moreI recently visited Scotty P’s with a friend to enjoy a meal, but unfortunately, our experience was extremely unpleasant due to the behavior of the manager, Jessica. She approached us in a very disrespectful manner, accusing us of smelling like marijuana. This was not only false, but also humiliating and completely inappropriate.
I do not use any substances, and even if I did, I was there as a paying customer, quietly enjoying my food without disturbing anyone. Instead of treating us with courtesy, Jessica made us feel unwelcome, told us we would not be allowed back, and even dropped a dessert on our table in a rude way.
This experience ruined what should have been a simple and enjoyable meal. I believe all customers deserve to be treated with respect, regardless of personal judgments or assumptions. I hope the restaurant takes this complaint seriously, because no guest should ever be...
