I was not impressed. I went I'm on a Sunday to watch a college football game and have a beer. The store was about half full of customers. I sat down at the bar and asked for a menu. The young lady brought me a menu and walked away. She didn't ask if I would like something to drink. After some time, a different young lady asked if she could help me. I asked for a Cheeseburger medium well and a Miller Lite. I also asked if she could wipe off the bar in front of me because it was sticky. She seemed to have difficulty finding a bar towel. Finally she returned and wiped down the bar and brought me a beer, but no silverware, or salt and pepper. After a short time, a server brought my food out, not knowing who ordered it. The young lady who took my order came back and asked if I needed anything else, so I asked for salt and pepper, thinking she would also bring me a napkin and silverware. She did not. As I was looked over my food I noticed a man had come from the kitchen area I guess, and helped one of the Bartenders with something at the register/computer. As he walked away I flagged him down and asked for a napkin and silverware, which he brought for me. The fries were okay. The burger was not. The burger was served with cheese, lettuce, sautéed onions, tomato slice, mayonnaise and mustard. The bun was too small for the thick meat patty. I cut the burger in half, thats when I noticed it was cooked medium, not medium well (it was acceptable). The burger was a little bland in flavor. Because the burger came with mayonnaise, mustard, sautéed onions, etc. and too small of a bun, I knew what was coming next. When I bit into the burger half the meat patty wanted to squish out from under the bun. It's as if they had put slippery sauce on it. Each burger half came apart more as I continued to eat it. I was hungry so I finished the burger eating the last bits off of the plate using a fork. The young lady who took my order never came back to ask if I'd like another beer, or if my food was okay. As I ate and watched the college football games I noticed that none of the waitstaff were smiling or looked like they enjoyed interacting with the customers. It's as if they've had poor or no training in the food...
Read moreSo, a quick explanation of my rating of a 4... food was freaking AMAZING but service was eh and idk if it was bec I placed my order so late and the women were tired or bec they just normally are busy flirting with men to give me my food that was already ready lol anyway so yeah that happened it wasn’t that big of a deal just a little awkward mostly bec I don’t like people who need attention but that’s just a personal opinion. Plus I had to call consistently 3 times before someone picked up and it was like 35-40 minutes before closing and she said it’s bec they were busy (which I went and saw them socializing at the bar with men and another girl watching from afar lol). It just seemed like yeah off to say the least, I guess if I’m calling in and picking up and doing the most to stay out of your way since I don’t intend on tipping i expect like a in and out thing. But if there were separate stars for customer service and for food I would give food a 5 and cusotmer service a 3. So, I was looking for a really good pot roast since Denny’s got rid of theres lol I guess they have an alternating menu. I saw reviews here and there that this was amazing but had to look on other sites for pictures. When I tasted this the meat was so tender the mashed potatoes were perfect and had flavor didn’t feel like they came from a box and the green bean vegetables had tons of flavor like pieces of bacon and like corn. OMG , I did not expect this to be so damn good. After the first bite I wanted to go Tasmanian devil on the dish but instead I savored it. I also ordered the chips and queso and the queso was definitely top 3 of best I ever tried maybe even one bec it was not runny and not thick and had a very great flavor profile and also had some veggies. Yep I’ll give it my number one spot 😛!! The cups for the queso and for the gravy for the pot roast were pretty big which is awesome ( I have a picture of me holding them for size comparisons). Might want to ask for more chips if you intend on eating the whole queso lol also the chips were very fresh. I’m so glad that I got quality food so close to closing! New favorite place and bonus it’s like 3 minutes from my house lol yay me!!! Lastly, packing is super cute and...
Read moreMy wife, some friends and I headed to the new Twin Peaks location after the game on Sunday night and were refused service. We didn't understand why. Upon entering the establishment, we had a friendly, casual conversation with the ladies at the hostess stand prior to them seating us at a table without issue.
We had barely even sat down and hadn't even received a menu before a manager approached us and said that we were observed acting badly and asked if we had been to another venue that evening. We had just come from the Cowboys game and wanted to celebrate with a dinner. He said that we couldn't be served "for our safety." It made no sense. We were not drunk or acting badly in any way. We were surprised and humiliated by his accusations, so after sitting there stunned for a minute, decided to leave and have dinner at a competing restaurant that welcomed us with no issues.
Afterwards, while trying to piece together why we were denied service, I learned that the previous Twin Peaks location (I'm not sure if they had the same owner or manager) had MAJOR issues with over-serving customers and perhaps other criminal behavior. I'm guessing that this Twin Peaks has problems with liability and their liquor license and they were being extra cautious to not serve anyone who came from another venue??
In any case, their handling of their own self-inflicted problems should not result in a horrible customer service experience for us or anyone else. The manager and staff were very poorly trained and created an adversarial situation with their guests out of thin air. From reading other reviews, it seems like this has happened to other guests as well. It was a horrible feeling for us all to be accused of some sort of wrongdoing by a manager who had never even met us. This has never happened to any of us before.
I would suggest avoiding this Twin Peaks location, because it seems extremely shady. In fact, I probably won't frequent any Twin Peaks location until I can get a clear explanation of their policies for...
