I've never been to this restaurant before and I was recommended by my brother. I really wish I hadn't spent my money here, I could've gone to pho que huong and had the usual experience and been satisfied with my choices. I came in with two of my family members, we weren't greeted, guided or even acknowledged when we came in. We had to grab menus and seat ourselves. It took the waitress 10 minutes to come with some water glasses, she spoke English pretty well so the language barrier was no problem. We didn't want to order yet since we were waiting on 4 other people to join us, we made it clear to her and ordered two appetizers just to start. It's wasn't busy just a family of six next to us and a couple in a booth so the appetizers were fast, then we got some drinks, that took a while. It was 25 minutes and we just thought maybe she forgot but we kept seeing other tables get their drinks. 2 of our guest arrived and the waitress again took 15 minutes to bring us water for them. I think it was just her but there was only three tables busy (the family, the couple, and us) our other 2 guest arrived and she hadn't come to check on us for almost 30 minutes by then it was becoming busier, we got there at 11:20, we didn't get our orders taken until almost 1 pm. She took our orders and then left, we asked for more water and cups for our new guests and we didn't get the cups but the brought one pitcher for the whole table to share. The pitcher was so slim it didn't hold much water. The service was ridiculous at this point. We started regretting our choice very quickly. The pho came out the fastest but it wasn't pleasant at all to eat infront of out guests while they waited 40 minutes after us to receive their meals. When their plates finally did come, none of the servers could tell us which dish was what. All three of my guests ended up confusing their plates and eating each other's meals. I was livid, how could the staff not tell us what the dishes were so we could be sure of our meals. It was our first time and our last time dining here. The bill for 5 out of 7 of us was $110 and neither the food, experience or service was worth it. Keep your money don't dine here, I wish I could've gotten my money back but my guests were all ready to go. We were all frustrated and unsatisfied. I'll never recommend this place again. Absolutely ridiculous 🙄 it not even something we can laugh about, there should be an...
Read moreI’m very impressed with their new location! I’ve been waiting for a year since I saw them put up the sign, and it’s beautiful. It’s a lot more spacious than the 99 Ranch location, and very decorative.
You order at the front for both dine-in and togo. They have random snacks and chè in the fridge by the front, so you can grab whatever. You can also order it in-person, which is what I did.
First time I got a banh mi. It was buy 1 get 1 free deal, so I was hoping that I can get two different ones. You only get the same type of banh mi for both, which is fine but still weird especially if the prices are all the same? They toasted it for me, but it taste so BAD. The bread was so chewy but it took me forever to bite through it. I was going to give a bad review, but then I toasted my second one at home and it tasted great. Not sure if the first bread was bad or anything.
I went a second time with my boyfriend for dine-in. This time, it was super packed with people. He got a combo meal and I got banh xeo. The combo was really good for lunch because of their huge portions. It came with dumplings, chicken fried rice and a drink. It said 4 dumplings but the server brought out 6 so we didn’t complain. The chicken fried rice was so-so, but very big portion. My banh xeo was huge too, and their fish sauce was good. They gave Vietnamese vegetables which is exactly what I wanted. Service was pretty fast despite the full house.
Overall, I’m very impressed with this location. Food quality is much better, and the chè are good. I wish they have more food options like they did back at 99 Ranch. I always get the bo la lot, but they don’t have it here. I see a lot of good reviews for their bun bo hue and soupy dish so I’ll probably try that next time. I’m glad Plano finally has some decent...
Read moreMost times ( at least for me) when one goes to a restaurant, you have at least a small prior plan to go. But sometimes, such as this time, it's just a random happenstance. My wife and my son & I were planning to have lunch at a different place. But when we get there they didn't have the one thing that my son would eat. Even though it was on their page. We walk in and the inside is your typical Vietnamese pho house vibe, which isn't a bad thing. We sit down and a gentlemen approaches our table and we ask him for a few more minutes. He comes back and we still need just a couple minutes. Since it was our first time visiting, we wanted to make sure we didn't miss anything on the menu. Well then a young lady comes to take our order and my wife just wants the Hoanh thanh chien. Which she just loved. For me, I wanted the pho. I mean how can you go to a pho house and not get the pho? I went with the traditional pho with the tai steak. I went ahead and got the combo A. The combo A is a bowl of pho with your choice of meat, two roasted pork spring rolls, and a drink. I've never had roasted pork spring rolls before. OMG, they were awesome. There was a sauce that came with them that we didn't particularly care for, but the waitress suggested a peanut sauce and that was great. My seven year old had the chicken pho. Which was HUGE. Everything was just ( resist urge to say pho-nominal) so good. If I was nitpicking and had to say something negative it would be there is no kids portion. Even with that, I...
