This is a brand new AYCE sushi spot that just opened up in Plano. It is located in the same plaza as H-Mart.

Masuki sushi offers a good selection of sushi with a variety of fish. I personally prefer sushi (nigiri) or sashimi over traditional rolls or hand rolls. We ordered the smoked salmon sushi , torched salmon sushi, eel sushi, red snapper sushi, white tuna sushi, octopus sushi, and surf clam sushi. I have to say I’m very impressed with the fresh quality Masuki has to offer. My favorite sushi is the torched salmon, which was seared to perfection and literally melted in my mouth. The smoked salmon was also good, though it was a bit salty in my opinion. The sushi has a good fish to rice ratio.

We also got the Lemon Salmon yubu, which was salmon in a tofu skin with lemon juice over it. The lemony taste made was a great addition to the salmon. Highly recommend that you try this.

We also got the chicken garlic noodle stone pot… and before you wonder why I would waste my stomach space at an AYCE sushi restaurant on carbs… let me just tell you that it was delicious and worth it. It was good enough to split between 3-4 people. They also offer hibachi, which I did not get at this visit.

The Agedashi tofu was a good appetizer.

There is a 20 pc sushi limit per round, which wasn’t that big of a deal if it’s not too busy. I’ve been to other AYCE sushi locations where limitations per round really hurt how much I can eat. There is a 90 minute limit, with the last round being placed at 75 minutes.

Orders were placed on a paper menu, and when you’re ready to submit the order, there is a button on the wall that you can press. I hope they will eventually switch to a digital menu, as it seems wasteful to use paper.

Service was great. Everyone was very nice and polite. Everyone was very attentive. Everyone was extremely helpful in explaining how everything works. Service was a 10/10.

The Yuzu Cheesecake, which is not included in the AYCE price,...

My friend and I saw an advertisement for an AYCE (All You Can Eat) sushi place in Plano, so we decided to give it a try during their soft opening. If I could give negative stars for this review, I definitely would—both the food and service were disappointing.

Although it’s advertised as all-you-can-eat sushi, they had a limit on how much appetizer sashimi each person could order. We weren’t too happy about that, but we understood since it was a soft opening with discounted prices, so we didn’t expect too much.

We ordered several items (beef gyudon, beef hibachi, and some sashimi). The beef gyudon and beef hibachi came out first, but it took the kitchen 25 minutes to bring out the sashimi. The gyudon and hibachi weren’t flavorful—the portions were heavy on rice and the beef lacked seasoning. Honestly, it felt like we were just eating stir-fried beef with plain rice—nothing special.

We were hoping for better sashimi, but the surf clam had sand in it. Do they not know how to properly clean and prepare surf clam?

That wasn’t even the worst part. When we were about to order more sashimi, a staff member came over and warned us there would be a surcharge for leftover food and that we had to finish everything before ordering more. We understand that concept—it's normal for AYCE places—but it felt like they were trying to discourage us from ordering more. We weren’t wasting food, and we were fully prepared to pay any surcharge if we did.

Then we asked for seaweed salad. The lady brought out a very small portion and told us it was all they had left. Seriously? At a sushi place with an AYCE concept, you're telling customers you're already out of seaweed salad at 7 PM? That’s unacceptable. It made us feel like we were begging for food even though we paid to be there.

If you're looking for a good AYCE sushi experience, I recommend trying other locations in Plano, Dallas, or Frisco. This one was a...

I had no idea this was an ayce place. I stopped in for lunch two days ago. It was cutely decorated. I found it odd that I was the only person in there. The waiter told me that they’re under new ownership as of 11 days ago. I placed an order of sold and not allowed any modifications, even though I have a legally documented dietary restriction. I was also told that I would be charged extra for any rice that I didn’t eat. I proceeded to order only the items that were seared. Since I can’t eat raw fish and I can’t have rolls and I’m not supposed to eat rice you do not be able to digest it. Needless to say what was supposed to be seared look like it was freezer burned and thought out I’m a huge sashimi person and this was gross so much so that I began vomiting profusely at the table I threw up into a cup it overflowed all over the table I had to use the bathroom continued to vomit granted I’m the only customer in there still. The server gives me my check and it says $40 which is much different than the post price. They didn’t even have proper napkins. I’ve never seen what they had before. It would be something that I would’ve seen in the 80s on the New York food court. I am so shocked that they Considering I wasn’t able to eat anything and threw up everywhere. I went to the urgent care and I was diagnosed with food poisoning. Stay away from this place.

Update to respond to your response: you have in correct information I am a Dr. and also went to my Dr and was sick for 3 days after! Before you claim to know and understand medical issues and dg’s show your credentials! Want mi NPI? Lastly it was very odd that I was the ONLY customer in the Resturant! I’m going to take you up on that health inspection. City of Plano requires all health inspections to be made public. I didn’t see...

As a Japanese person, I was looking forward to trying this new sushi restaurant on a weekday afternoon. The lunch AYCE menu said $19, but it had actually been changed to $22 without any notice. The menu also stated that drinks were included with the meal, but when I asked about drinks, they listed Coke, Dr. Pepper, lemonade, and unsweetened tea. I chose lemonade and tea, but later found out at checkout that the lemonade was $3.25 and the tea was $3.95. There was no explanation about drink prices beforehand. At that point, I felt like beer or shochu should’ve just been included too. The best dish was definitely the yellowtail sashimi—it easily deserves 5 stars. But there were also some issues: the rice was overly wet and mushy, the shrimp tails were still attached in the rolls, and the water cup had a slight soapy smell. Some staff members were casually walking around and even eating food themselves. I also wished they had provided mayo with the karaage. In the end, I paid about $30. Overall, I’d say the price is fair for what I got—the sashimi quality was good, but other areas need improvement.
