Is this a corporate or privately owned restaurant? The place apparently doesn't take gift cards (the digital kind) nor can they manually input the numbers on said card. If this is privately owned then I can understand... Somewhat. A gift card is still a gift card and you should be able to take em. Apparently their machines ain't equipped to handle digital gift cards... which is weird as my computer at work that looks like it came from 1995 running on an operating system from 2001 can. Unless I'm somewhat mistaken then please let me know and I'll stand corrected.
The food was... okay. Satisfactory. Could have been a bit better but I'm just happy it met my minimum for taste.
The servers... Well it wasn't busy when I got there but uhh lemme put it like this: If they where tired then they could have told me something... I would have understood completely as I've been in their shoes. But the service was lacking and the meals came lukewarm at best. Again if they where tired they could have said something as I felt like a burden on em which gave the air an awkward vibe...
Would I eat here again? Probably. I am a man who gives second chances if the first impression isn't up to spec. Would I recommend this place? Probably.
What really bummed me out was the fact that for some odd reason they cannot take digital gift cards. Like I mentioned somewhere in the beginning of this review my old computer who by technological standards would be considered ancient can and will take digital items... Hope they get an upgrade soon or else this may cause issues with many people since digital goods are becoming the...
Read moreMy husband, me, and our friends went to the IHOP on University and Peter’s Road to enjoy a meal at 11:30 pm. We ate, paid the bill, and continued to sit at our table with our pitcher of coffee talking, reminiscing, and enjoying our company as friends. A man named “Prentiss” just a few minutes before, who were taking dishes off the tables, confronted us and asked us to leave because he needed tables to seat other customers. We looked around and no customers were waiting and plenty of tables were available. My friend asked him if he was the manager and Prentiss stated that he was. Our other friend stated that she has never been treated this way at a restaurant and we all agreed especially after spending $100 on our meal collectively, but he was still adamant. After 10 minutes and as we were leaving, Prentiss pointed us towards the register and asked did we need to see anyone. My friend asked him was he implying that we did not pay for our meal. The next morning, after calling the restaurant to report the incident, we were told that Prentiss is the Busboy and not the Manager. We are now wondering if Prentiss was told by the night manager or supervisor to confront us and ask us the leave. Our friends, me and my husband are all white collar and blue collar professionals with an average of 30 years of experience in our respective careers. We were visiting from out of town to enjoy a comedy show, booked a hotel at a Marriott nearby and to be treated like “Thugs” at IHOP was...
Read moreYesterday I went to ihop with my family. We ordered 2 omelettes, a burger and steak tips. Firstly, they brought someone else's order to our table, then when one of the omelettes came, it was missing some of the ingredients. The first omelettes was a bacon temptation. When it arrived, it was half the size of the advertised product and lacked the tomatoes as advertised, the server brought up the lack of tomatoes as if she was aware that it had been ordered with them, she would then take the order back and with attitude added tomatoes. When she returned, she plopped the plate on to the table and left with her face scrunched. When it came to the second omelette, it was a build a your own with green peppers and onions and toast. When it was brought to us, the omelette came with an additional set of mushrooms that were NOT ordered and the toast took an inordinate amount of time to be delivered to the table, yet the restaurant wasn't busy nor was it full. The Omelette also came with another surprise, a hair from the nether regions of the body, a pubic. Despite being aware of this disgusting addition to our meal, we were still charged for the pubic infested omelette. The only reason I am giving this one star, is because the steak tips and burger had no issues. Would not recommend, please dine somewhere else if you are hungry and care...
