We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel has a free breakfast bar which includes juices, coffee, boiled eggs and buns. The bar opens pretty early and one can have a decent meal there. The rooms are large and comfortable. I particularly liked their showers! Having stayed in several hotels I always spend some time figuring out the showers and getting doused with ice cold and steaming hot water while doing so. This one is a classic in its simplicity. There was a dial for on-off and an arrow for hot and cold. That’s it. Worked the first time! Their elevator is kind of tucked away in a corner and small for a hotel this size. They have a free gym a laundry room. Best of all is a self-serve compute with attached printer that allowed you to print you boarding pass and other documents. Not sure if it was free but definitely a convenient facility

I am not sure where these people are getting 4 and 5 Star reviews other than the nice gentleman Freddy at the front desk he tried to give me to previous rooms both had the insanely strong order of urine he informed me it's a pet friendly hotel I understand that but it's like someone just peed all over the carpet it was horrible. The third room the pee smell was not as bad and I just put up with it it was 2 in the morning and I needed to get some sleep. Again the gentleman at the front desk is super nice I didn't want to go down a third time and I was so tired I took a shower and I would not walk on this carpet without shoes is just completely nasty and the urine smell was burning my nostrils and I paid $90 for this absolutely brutal this is probably one of the nastiest laquintas I've ever stayed in and I stayed in many

$200 a night for a room when we walk in and has a massive stain on the couch, the back is off the toilet and it doesn’t even work. When I go to ask about getting a different room they tell me we’ll have to go to a different hotel. What a joke. I’d expect something like this from a $65 a night hotel but for $200 that’s absurd. We booked over a month in advance and now they can’t even find a sister hotel with availability. Update: Bernard (I think that was his name) at the front desk was very apologetic, and they are supposed to be covering our new room at a different hotel. He handled it very well and we appreciate that. But this shouldn’t even have been an issue to begin with.

I would give this experience 0 stars but it won't permit me to do so.... minus 0 infact.......

I have travelled the world Europe, Africa, USA, and this hotel is a straight disgrace... and our experience there was absolutely horrendous. Upon our arrival the place looked very shabby, however I concluded that as we booked online you win some you lose some so although it was not up to my standard we went in happy to make the best of a "bad job" HOWEVER....... The experience got from bad to worse.......DO NOT GO THERE.

We booked 3 rooms and checked in at 3pm and on getting up to my room it was dirty.... not just dirty, filthy dirty with the soiled unmade beds from the previous guests exactly as they left it with rumpled and soiled sheets exactly as they left it. There were soiled used towels strewn overr the counters and on the floor. I reported it to front dest and as I was going out they told me the room would be cleaned upon my return. When I returned to the room at 1am the room was untouched in the exact condition. By then I was furious and standing in the reception area with my 2 children, one of whom has special needs (Autism), he was increasingly distraught throughout that process.

My experience was not isolated, My 75 and 78 year old parents were given a room with no hot water and no flushing toilet, and my sister, her husband a 2 children was give a dirty room also, she was then given another room with only 1 bed and a pull out, when she opened the pull out the sheets were rumpled, used and crumpled up in the bed, there was food debris including wrappers and packaging stuffed into the pull out. The rooms all stunk of cigarettes, despite our requesting Non smoking rooms as the children are asthmatic. At 1.45 in the morning, after much fuss were had to drive 20 minutes across town to another La quinta as they had no more rooms available. My Mother was standing exhausted and upset in the reception area in her pyjamas.

The staff at the first La quinta were rude, slovenly and they had not even the most basic concept of customer services, the woman at front desk wore her head phones and was listening to music as she checked my sister in and paid no attention to what she was doing. Granted, Andrew on front desk did his best as he tried to relocate us.

Even after I made initial request for my room to be cleaned and fresh sheets provided, 10 hours later it was not done. It is deplorable that guests were expected to go into a room with unmade dirty beds from the previous guests - sheets actually stained with god knows what???, no hot water, no flushing toilet etc... To top it all off even after they transferred us to the second hotel the 316 dollars held on my account has still not been returned to me and we had to pay for the stay at the second hotel again.... Im not happy. We were in town for a wedding and have spent hours at the front desk in these hotels trying to sort this out.... we missed the wedding ceremony! and I have returned home to an overdrawn bank account as essentially I have been charged twice for the most horrendous displeasure. I am still fuming!

I don't know if La Quinta is a franchise company.... but somebody needs to do something about this, and they need to do it...

Pros: Price was good for 4 days in this part of plantation FL, but i think that has more to do with the current state of the nation (covid-19) so rates are relatively low everywhere. Centrally located in pretty much the heart of plantation, FL. Great neighborhood. The room is spacious and the bathroom is huge. There is a micro-wave and a mini fridge which is very convenient.

Cons: I checked in sometime between 6pm-7pm on 6/4/2020 and the employee on duty, was not hospitable or friendly at all, not friendly, not customer service friendly what so ever, just hurried my check in along, gave me my key and walked away...not even a enjoy your stay, nothing. I also called ahead to check and see if there were any incidental fee/holds or security deposits as i am adamantly against high priced incidental/security holds and whom ever i spoke with assured me there was none. I show up and I am charged a $75 incidentals hold and the funds are actually charged. I can understand a credit card hold but $75 incidental fee for a Laquinta is relatively high! that is a significant chunk of someones budget who's traveling. I checked out on 6/7/2020 and the funds have not been returned to my card yet...but i made sure to get a check out receipt. Carpet while probably vacuumed, was still very dirty and could use a full steam clean and shampoo and stain/spot removal treatment..i wore socks while in the room my entire stay (I am in hospitality by career) the mini sofa in the room was disgusting and stained...If you all are not having these sofa's professionally cleaned and upholstered regularly this presents a huge health risk. Upon check out, the employee on duty was better than the one at check in albeit still needs some hospitality/customer service training..at least I got a "please" and a "thank you"

My biggest issues was the incidental fee and the severe lack of customer service from the employee at check in. I most likely wont...

I have to mention the young man that does breakfast in the morning Allen I call him Chef Allen because he does a perfect job keeping the breakfast room clean and hot food and coffee. Chef Allen vacuum the carpet and wipes off the tables and chairs great job Chef Allen. Jeffrey the maintenance man he's another staff member that's always smiling and offering a helping hand. I asked him was he management Jeffery smiled as always and said no. Thank you Chef Allen and Jeffery. Now to the said part the first weekend of November 1, 2023 I want to say there was a situation that caused the alarms to go off so naturally everyone had to leave the building. I was in a suite on the end of the hallway where water was all over the carpet and floor. I was enjoying my suite I had been waiting to get one with my perks. I had went to flash the toilet there was no water in the tank or in the bathtub. I went to the front desk and I asked the clerk was there a maintenance on staff and explained there was no water in the toilet I can't flush. The gentleman said no and there was nothing he could do. I asked for another room he said there was none available. The point is I slept in the room with my feces all night, my evening was runied. Not only did I not receive an apology or a refund but I was rushed out the room by housekeeping supervisor. I was treated once again unfair, I was hurt I had to stay another night due to my job booking my stay. The room was not properly sanitize and they put another guest in a feces smelling room. I wanted a refund I was ignored by management. I told my job if he book me there again because there are no other choice I will sleep in my car. The hotel is still a beautiful place. I rather stay in a trashy hotel and get treated with respect than sleep in luxury and treated...
