Before I begin; yes Angeline I’m the customer who wears wolf t shirts! thank you for noticing ! I’m writing this review because now the plantation location has worked out the early kinks 😆 speaking of Angeline, she was my first server . Much like the sunrise store but smaller, the restaurant was packed. I ordered a grilled cranberry muffin and the kitchen told her that they ran out/ Angeline brought me a chocolate chip one which was slightly grilled. Seeing my disappointment , somehow miraculously she found a cranberry muffin!! The second time I went, Twana was my server. Twana greets all her customers with an ingratiating smile! It doesn’t matter how busy they are , Twana always manages to find me a seat! Thirdly I had a wonderful server named Lauren and somehow I am lucky to have her wait on me almost every time.To staff and customers alike, Lauren is one of those special people persons . She is accepting to all and goes above and beyond to make each customer’s experience a positive one. Given the lines that form for First Watch you cannot go wrong asking for either of my three favorite servers! At this writing I had the limited special Hacienda hash / hash with a southern kick! And I sampled the Red Medicine drink .( see photo)order each while they are in season. You will experience a hearty meal and an energy boosting drink!The corn tortillas are extra.This fabulous seasonal dish was recommended by my server of the day Sam. Sam ‘s humor is contagious . His attention to his customers and his delightful personality were much appreciated! This First Watch is First in my book! I went back this week ( January 30) because I knew I would have a Wonderful meal. None of my favorite severs were on shift today😩No worries, I knew I would be Served by one of Will the manager’s other competent servers . Today it was Rachel .Right away her training went into high gear . Water,? Check! Coffee containers on the table? Check ,Clarify any of the menu items? Check! What sets Rachel apart from any other server is her cultural inquisitiveness . Thank you Rachel for listening to my stories about my travels to Portugal ! Imagine my surprise when I greeted who I thought was Rachel only to be told ’ I am not Rachel I am her twin sister Erica! ”I wasn’t surprised to see that Erica had her sister’s identical caring for her customers. She is always on point and similarly puts her training to make each customer’s experience a unique one. Much like the uniqueness of The First Watch’s Identical twins Erica and Rachel. Read moreThis breakfast will keep us coming back. We have been frequenting First Watch for about 8 yrs. I LOVE the Power Quinoa Bowl and get it almost every time. The thing is, the quality was getting worse and worse with each visit. The portions smaller, the meat sometimes 80% absent, eggs overdone… but when it is good it is real good and this was that. It was perfectly cooked, we didn’t have to wait too long which often also occurs and our server came back to check on us and did a good job. One of the things that always pleases me about First Watch is the fact that they bring you your own individual thermos for coffee or tea. We think their coffee is very good as well. I often order tea and they bring me my own thermos that is a different size then the coffee notably. This also delights me because it is for “tea” and not for “coffee” so the distinction keeps an old coffee flavor out of the thermos intended for hot water for tea. That can ruin your cup of tea and First Watch has thought of this. I will note that they offer a selection of teas but 8 out of 10 times they have been out of earl gray or English breakfast and only having green or chamomile… The other thing that I appreciate is the carafe of water they bring to the table. This is also brilliant since this alleviates having to chase after your server for more water and they don’t need to waste valuable serving time on filling up water glasses and coffee cups. They have a well rounded menu and we have tried a few other things but the chorizo omelette and quinoa bowl tend to be our go to. The restaurant is always clean and comfortable. They have monthly changes to the menu for juices as well as meal specials. Another nice feature is that they have an app so that you can “get in line” and avoid a wait on busy days and if you forgot to do that, while you wait they offer coffee and water that you can self serve. Read moreMade a delivery on their website. At the time of the estimated time of delivery , the order is canceled. All the instructions say is to contact the store. I called the store and the store tells me we have nothing to do with that. Your order is right here. You should reach out to DoorDash.
After explaining to them extensively that I went to YOUR website and paid for delivery I did not go through DoorDash. I was told there was nothing I can do and that I need to call DoorDash.
I later explain it doesn’t make sense that I pay YOU the money to get the food to me. I don’t know how you guys do it when the order is placed on your website, but that’s something you guys should do. On your site, i clicked the delivery option. You should call doordash. I should not have to call some the third-party company that I didn’t even know was involved in getting my food to me. she said again there is nothing I can do, you should reach out to DoorDash. I called DoorDash, and thr customer service rep says you need to reach out to the store because we already refunded the delivery fee. Frustrated I just hopped in my car and went to the restaurant to pick up my food.
Total waste of time. I don’t even understand the worth of delivery with this place. The total lack of accountability from the employee I spoke to on the phone is mind-boggling. If you reach out to an establishment and pay them money to get food delivered to you if something goes wrong in that agreement, a customer has to get up and go do part of their job. When a customer pays money and clicks the options, it should be the employees job to fix whatever problem arises so the agreement is fulfilled. Not pass off the work down to the customer. No...
