The waitress in the cook we're both outstanding and he talked to me when I wanted to talk they let me be what I wanted to be food was fantastic I will definitely go back I felt at home they had the rules right on the wall I really like that as soon as you walk to the door the rules are right there on the wall there was no question about what was allowed and what was not allowed in their establishment! And discrimination or messing with anybody because of the race bridge religion color or origin sexual representing were all off limits if you got caught violating it rule you were out the door no questions asked! Anyone and everyone is safe to dine here and your rides will be safe because of anybody anybody tries to step on you're right they will be kicked out no questions to ask and you will be safe I really like that there's posted right there on the wall for everyone to see and fully enforced! That was the first thing I saw when I walked in the door was there rules! Me and the cook had a very long conversation about that and how he has to enforce it and he's not scared to you but the people that come there and dine with them that important that they will not let any other customers or anybody disrupt people's meals it's a happy place to come to eat and they keep it that way so that everybody's safe it has a good time I stayed for hours it was such a warm hospital place definitely return and it was added to...
Read moreI like Waffle House, but this location has really rude and lazy employees. I am walking in saying hello loud, no one is greeted me, it wouldn’t be an issue at all, I don’t need to be greeted. But, I do expect to be served in any restaurant. Well it didn’t happened in this Waffle House location in Platte City. I would understand if they would have been busy, but at the time there was only a family was waiting for a to go order. Actually both of the employees were so busy they didn’t have time to come to me, to take my order, or just say something like, “be right there” or something you would expect. One of the employees were preparing food, the other one was so busy playing with the family’s kids there. After 12 minutes of wait, I decided to get a burger from Sonic across the street. Yes, this Waffle House deserves the one star, actually it supposed to be 0 for the 0 service. I don’t how long it would take them to take my order, so I didn’t wait longer than 12 minutes. Shame that a restaurant chain with this many locations can allow employees to operate like this, maybe they don’t know about it, hope they find out. I usually visited Waffle House on the Southeast, and my experience with Waffle House was always good, specially with the kind and nice employees. Maybe this is just a Midwest thing, I don’t know. Management please make sure customers get served in any of...
Read moreWaffle House used to be quick, efficient and delicious. Almost a small town diner atmosphere with a friendly waitress. Today wasn't really any of those. The staff was slow, leaving many tables/counter seats uncleared so there was a pretty long line of people waiting to sit. Heaven forbid you try to sit at a table while you wait for it to be cleared off. The staff slowly lumbered around with no sense of urgency and were constantly arguing with each other, right in front of customers, about who is and isn't washing dishes causing more work for certain employees. The drinks were brought out pretty promptly, I will give them that. However, the water, and Coke to an extent had a very strong taste of chlorine. Maybe from the ice maker and that's why you could taste it in the Coke? Either way, it was disgusting. When the food was brought out you can see the bacon on one plate was hanging over the edge and actually sat on the table when the plate was put down. Gross. My waffle and hash browns were cooked fantastically. Very delicious. My table mate had hash browns that were cooked significantly less than mine, they were pretty squishy, not super appetizing. Come for the food (mostly), not for the service. I love Waffle House but this was a pretty...
