Super 8 by Wyndham Platte City/KCI Airport North — Hotel in Platte City

You can tell that the owners take pride in their property. This particular hotel has been renovated since my last stay. Let’s talk about the Pros of this hotel. 1, The owners are very friend, easy to reach, and extremely accommodating. 2, The front desk staff is available 24 hours/day and are very friendly. 3, The parking lot is well lit which made me feel safer going to and from my vehicle to the hotel at night. 4,This hotel does offer smoking rooms, however they have them separated at opposite ends of the hotel. 5, on site laundry facilities. 6, this hotel does have a complementary breakfast. However it is very limited. The only hot item is waffles. 7, If you experience an issue during your stay, the front desk staff will do everything they can to accommodate you and resolve the issue promptly.

This hotel is a fantastic place to stay at a reasonable price. I have not had any significant issues at this property and will definitely stay here again...

So I gotta give this place a good rating for saving our skin. Me and my wife are moving from Colorado to Kentucky, and this is the halfway point. We were supposed to stay at the Ramada next door. However, we have two cats. Despite advertising itself as "pet friendly," they only allowed dogs. We were in a panic and also extremely tired from being in a moving truck from 14 hours. We called some other hotels, only for them to say they were full (we wanted an extra room for the cats so they didn't keep us up.)

We then see the Super 8 nearby with a glowing "Vacancy" sign. We decided to try there, and they had two rooms, allowed cats for a small fee, and it was under $100 for everything.

Yeah, it ain't the most luxurious experience, but when you've been inside a moving truck all day, those beds felt like a billionaire's. We got good rest and are prepared to finish our move.

I made a reservation for 1 night stay online my room rate with tax was $58.17. A few days went by and the hotel charged me $79.00 for the room and then they did a separate charge for $20.00 pet fee. I have bank statement and confirmation and the owner still won't reimburse us back the difference of the room. He claims that in the $79.00 is the pet fee, taxes and the room rate. Then what is the other $20.00 charge for? He won't answer me know. Wyhdam can't help me because apparently this is independently owed. They can do a case file but they won't get involved. So what I spent on 1 night stay I could have stayed an extra night. I miss the old days when American's owned hotels and would do the right thing by there...
