Decent food at reasonable prices. Clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl was yummy. It’s a little more peppery than your average chowder, which was just right for me, but the clams and potatoes are chopped much smaller than I would have preferred, deducting from the texture and chewing experience found in a more hearty clam chowder. My lunch combo came with a small cup of shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were small and mushy—nothing like you’d get as an appetizer at a higher end restaurant—but the flavor profile was acceptable. And at right around $13, I walked out very satisfied, along with a good portion of the bread bowl leftovers that I’ll surely scoff down sooner than later. I’ll be returning again very soon to try out other items on the menu. Particularly interested in checking out their crab options and oysters on the half shell. One more thing… would have totally preferred real silverware to the plastic fork and spoon. A plastic spoon can’t carve up the soggy bread bowl interior like a good old fashioned metal spoon. That is all.

The gentlemen were very nice and inviting.. next time I hope I have the time to eat in and enjoy... Got a hot pastrami sandwich which is killer!!!! They were nice enough to give me a Lil portion cup of there clam chowder to try... yes I will be back maybe even tomorrow! The sample of the chowder was also fantastic not to mention with it being so rainy and I was on foot it really hit the spot.. Thank you

Great food and great people. I loved the whole experience with this place. San Francisco feel and food without the San Francisco prices. I had the liverworst and roast beef on rye. So freaking good. And I'm so glad I chose the chili. Some of the best chili I've ever had. I will return and I will get the calamari and soup with bread bowl. Super friendly lady working the counter.

Very rude managers/owners.

I asked one of the owner's (I believe it was the wife), about how they prep some of the dishes; Every question I asked, she gave me a snarky attitude/response & an eye-roll, as if to say, "Are you going to buy something, or keep asking questions?"

Absolutely awful customer service. After the woman taking my order, continued to give me terrible body language/rude responses, I walked out without ordering anything.

If you want to speak with rude cheapskates, who will discriminate against you, know nothing about customer service, only care about your money, then please feel free to visit, "Escape From Fisherman's Wharf" in...

Today after lunch, we stopped to buy ice cream on our way home, my fiance ordered and paid and waited while we watched the woman serving four more customers that came after us, clam chowders in small containers and we also saw two men making crab sandwiches and cutting them in half. We waited ... after 15 minutes I asked her why is taking 15 minutes and she said what 15 minutes not 15 minutes. My fiance walked out and I requested his money back. I know it was more than 15 minutes because we were trying to beat the rush hour. Terrible service. The place smell old onion. Reason I didn't order...
