KEEP YOUR RECEIPT IF USING A CREDIT CARD!!!! I drove through on a Tuesday afternoon and ordered an $8.49 meal, I got my receipt and went to the next window where an employee started handing me drinks, shakes and a big bag of food. I told her all I had was a fish, fries and mdm cola, she immediately found my order. I showed her my receipt to make sure I was not getting charged for the erroneous large order, she said no, that I was charged correctly. I ate my surprisingly fresh late lunch and threw all out, including receipt. I was very surprised the next day when I looked at my creditd card statement, I'd been charged $22.96, not the expected $9ish. This was a fish sandwich not a lobster roll! I called and was told to stop buy and they would make it right. When I stopped by 2 days later the person I spoke to was not there so I had to tell the whole story to 4 people! No one seem to know what to do till I asked for a manager. A young woman, not in uniform, came up and spent quite a bit of time and found the time and date and $22.96 charge, no sign of my order. She pulled out cash for $22.96 and was about to give me it minus the $9 I had originally expected to pay. By then I had been standing on their very sticky floor for 15 minutes. I mentioned I should get something for my inconvenience, she quietly but grudgingly gave me the whole amount back, which I appreciated. While I was waiting several customers commented, loudly, how sticky the floor was. I am not a fan of fast food, but I was not feeling well and in a hurry and the #6 meal was a treat. The food was good but they need to work on everything else. I may give them 1 more chance. I don't know why I'm posting this as I see other worse reviews with NO response...
Read moreOn a few occasions my order was incorrect, having toppings added that weren't requested, getting less apple slices then ordered, and on one occasion, the person working the window forgot to give my debit card back, only figuring out they had it when they called a few days later. As someone who used to work at McDonald's, the one in pleasant hill is very hit or miss.
You can tell the grill hasn't been cleaned when your 1/4 pounder comes back leaking grease, which is often the case. If there isn't a manager present, the fries aren't rotated as often, which results in the customer getting sub par fries that have lost their crispness.
If you plan on going to this location, double check your order and make sure everything is prepared according to how you ordered it, and be prepared for a good, cheap meal, or greasy and less then appetizing food. Evenings are more likely to have lower quality food and service, while mornings when the manager is there you are the the most likely to have a pleasant experience.
UPDATE: You're better going somewhere else, the overall quality has only dropped, despite what the new flashy look would suggest. They have consistently given me the wrong order, and the quality of the food they do give me is at best, cool, soggy, and at worst case, still undercooked. If you crave McDonald's go down the road...
Read moreThey pulled us forward and the first 2 spots were already taken so we pulled into the spot numbered "3". Our order took forever to be brought outside then the employee tried to give it the wrong car TWICE! We got his attention after the first wrong car, he looked over, ignored us and went to the next. We got his attention once more and again he looked at us then walked inside. I walked in after him and got our food (i definitely had an attitude by this point) and when i asked why he just ignored us after I got his attention twice and told him it was our order his response was "im not allowed to bring it to your car there" YALL TOLD ME TO PARK AND THE FIRST TWO RESERVED SPOTS WERE TAKEN. Next time i just wont pull forward when asked i guess. Then when i finally got home our fries were barely cooked, our 20 piece was actually an 18 piece, and the mcchickens were tough like they had been in the tray for hours! I mean i know its mcdonalds so my expectation for service was already pretty low, i didnt even TRY for ice cream, but dang...
