I have passed this establishment for over twenty years. I finally decided to try it. Immediately upon entry, a blast of heat 😥 hit me in the face. It was extremely humid in there. NOT that it matters, but given the location, I was surprised to see it wasn't a Caucasian staff. It was three Hispanic women. Two were cooking, and another sitting down tucked and eating. She got up and barely greeted me. Her English was limited. I told her it was my first time. I ordered and sat down. I am an advocate for cleanliness and germs. I was turned off at the condiment section. As I sat watching the orders being prepared, I noticed the cook wasn't wearing gloves. She began wiping her sweaty face with that same hand. She continued touching everything from the buns to the utensils for cooking, etc. She saw me watching and put on one glove without sanitizing. I was horrified when she placed the food in the bag and called my number. I asked for the manager and explained my disappointment. She apologized and told the cook in spanish what happened. She then offered to make the order over. I think her name was Claudia. I was happy with her service until 😲! As I sat in my car eating, I noticed she came outside to her car, with a utilty towel she wore over her shoulder to wipe her hands while cooking 😳. Strike 2! Thanks, but no thanks. The 🍔 was a 6/10, 🍟 7/10, and my shake was a 10/10. Cross contamination is...
Read moreMy friend and I have never been here and we both love burgers. We came here on a Friday afternoon before the school kids got out. I ordered a bacon burger with garlic fries, and a nutter butter milkshake, and my friend got a cheeseburger with fries, and a butterfinger milkshake. The burgers were definitely big but the meat lacked seasoning. The burgers were stuffed with lettuce, onion, pickles and tomatoes. I want to say I love lettuce but the burger had way too much lettuce. The burger also did not have enough special sauce so it was kinda dry despite the extra salad. To their credit they did give me a good portion of thick bacon which I appreciated. Both regular and garlic fries were okay; they also did not salt or season the fries. I did like the garlic, parsley, and cheese in my fries. The milkshake were excellent though; very rich and creamy. Overall, a nice little local place to grab a decent burger and shake, but for the value, I think you get better...
Read moreIt's been a long time since I've set foot in a giant burger place. I remember the burgers being juicy, yummy, and to die for. The giant burgers at this place maybe big still but it's over filled with produce, dwarfing the burger and definitely guilt free. No longer is it juicy, yummy, and to die for. My jaw got tired chewing produce with a hint of meat, no better than the cardboard equivalent used at McDonald's. Aside from the fried onion rings and fries which are definitely better than fast food duplicates, the burger was downright boring. The establishment is clean, old school, and seems preferred by locals because of location. Service was quick with a friendly cashier. Even with $19.95 for four burgers on Mondays, I don't think I would return. Nothing...
