Bolt Collective: a salon — Local services in Pleasanton

Heard about Bolt collective (Bolt Collective is an inviting, incredible, homey hair salon with a lighthearted and bright vibe!) and Stephanie from a friend’s friend and I’m so glad that I did. Importantly, Steph was easy to contact and was so approachable with any questions I had before my scheduled appointments. I appreciated the thoughtful consult with Stephanie. I thought I knew what I wanted, but I’m grateful I talked with Stephanie thoroughly. I felt reassured of the hairstyle I chose. From long hair back to short hair, it wasn’t a nonchalant decision (though considering I’ve had short hair before). Going into my appt, I was set on going back to short hair and I felt seen and supported by Stephanie, with honest and mindful recommendations considering the grow-out, my lifestyle, and hair care. During my consult and haircut appointment I felt so at ease and she’s a down-to-earth stylist down to create a rad style. Remarkably, after my consult, I remember telling Stephanie, “I know I just met you, but I trust you,” signaling to her my enthusiasm for my appt. The location from the outside looks like a house. Close to first street. When you walk in, there are many stations for each hair stylist. It’s cute and qaint. They have a sitting room with complimentary snacks, coffee or tea, and magazines.

The thing I love the most, and what brought me to Bolt Collective, and keeps bringing me back is my hair stylist, Esther. She is professional, kind, and amazing at her job. I trust her 100% to do what looks best that half the time, I just ask her to do whatever. When I do bring inspo pics, she will inquire about what exactly I like from the photo and explain how it would look for me personally.

The only downside I have found is the limited parking. There are a few spots in the parking lot but if those are taken, you have to find parking elsewhere. But because it's right by Main St, it isnt hard to find parking - just a short walk.

I highly recommend this salon and more importantly, Esther.

( Posted for my friend) I was nervous about seeing someone new but Melanie Caples at Bolt Collective in Pleasanton made me feel comfortable and welcomed. The shop atmosphere was was clean, relaxing and inviting . She listened both to what I desired and what my concerns were and then took it from there , going beyond my expectations. She took her time but didn't miss a beat with the hair cut, hair color, shampoo, and blow out hairstyle. The whole experience and results were wonderful. Definitely going back in the future and reccomending her to others as well! ...
