I always stop here every time I go to Pleasanton to pick up some gizzards but today was a very strange visit. Customer service was not what it usually is. I don’t know if the gentleman was the manager what he was but Customer service was out of zero for me they were having light troubles. The gentleman I referred to was wearing a black polo shirt was on his cell phone. It was around 11:45 AM on July 28. The lights came on while I was waiting to speak to someone and I overheard the gentleman with the black polo shirt tell some customers that they were only receiving cash because of the power outage that had happened seconds ago I proceeded to walk out the store to get cash from my car and walk back In the store, the man with the black polo shirt was still on the phone chitchatting with someone it didn’tsound like a phone call he was having with corporate office more like a personal phone call. He continued to giggle walk the dining area while waiting for him to walk back to the counter. I was really tempted to walk out, but I really enjoy the gizzards and the Customer service I usually get I proceeded to go to the register and he asked what I want while he was still on the phone, he wrote down my order on a piece of paper. He wrote down eight pieces of gizzards, and I proceeded to make them aware that I need it the 12 piece he looked at me like I was bothering him for changing my order while still on his phone I continue to try and have a conversation with him and complement him on the good food, but it did not work. He proceeded with his phone call did not thank me for my comment I paid for my order and went and sat in the dining room. When my order was done I saw him packet, put it in a bag and bring it to me where I was sitting while mind you still on the cell phone I thanked him. He did not respond just turned around and left. He was very rude. Not to acknowledge a customer while on a personal phone call a lot of my family members stop by there when visiting Pleasanton I will share this with them because if he was a manager, he’s not a very good one. Very bad...
Read moreOur past experiences here have been inconsistent and poor for the most part. Sometimes we receive chicken tenders that are a few days old and have been refried, making them very tough to eat with a lot of fried batter on it. Today though was definitely a sight to behold, the people operating the restaurant were a bunch of kids, mostly playing around and holding up the drive through line by talking to friends who weren't even ordering. When we finally received our chicken tenders they were clearly freshly made which looked good at first. After eating a few it was clear that the batter was too salty and made them hard to eat, also the chicken itself was clearly in the freezer too long from how rubbery and chewy it was. My dad also spotted some pink pigmentation in the middle of the strip, which would make sense if the chicken meat has been in the freezer for far too long. I could barely eat any myself from how salty they were, and overall the only thing that held up to standard were the bread rolls. I recommend giving Golden Chick another try in Pleasanton after they renovated the building, until the stay away from this restaurant for now. It's sad to say this because I've eaten in many of these chain restaurants, but this Bush's Chicken has the lowest quality out of...
