Is it silly to review your run-of-the-mill fast food places? Perhaps, but if you eat a decent amount of fast food it's pretty easy to learn that not all of these places are created equal, and things have gone downhill exponentially since the pandemic, and are just now starting to recover a bit.
Before we kick this off, I want to mention that if you're still Taco Belling without using the app to order your food, you're unfortunately doing it wrong. Really the only way to get anything at an affordable price at any Taco Bell location is by ordering through the app, and then going to pick your food up. It's easy and painless, and will save you bundles of cash in the long run. Also if you're a chunky hunk like me, you'll end up with all sorts of freebies if you're ordering on the regular. Who doesn't like free stuff?
Okay here we go...
This particular location has a few things working for, and against it. Physical location is one of those things. It's in a very busy area surrounded by a ton of other fast food places, sprinkled in with places to shop, etc. It's easy to find, on the way to the freeway, etc. and easy to get in and out of in general. That being said, this is one of those Taco Bell locations where once you're in the drive thru, you cannot get out because it's one enclosed lane that wraps around the building with one way in, and then one way out. I don't know why they built locations with a drive thru like this but it drives me a little crazy. It creates a particular issue should you have an emergency, forget your wallet, or just change your mind and no longer want tacos for lunch.
I have also noticed that if you're using the app to place your order, sometimes things won't be available via the app at this location, but are right there on the menu board when you go pick up your food. I have no idea how that works, and perhaps they can turn things on and off for ordering from their end, and it's certainly not a deal breaker, just something I've noticed.
All of that being said, I have found this location to be full of friendly, professional and efficient employees, my food is always freshly made, hot, and my order correct. All of that is actually a lot to ask for these days, which is the main reason I keep coming back.
I tend to visit this location during slower times of the day, so I have never experience much of a a wait for anything here, but I would anticipate it gets quite busy during peak dining times during lunch or dinner so that is something that should also be taken into account.
When all is said and done, I will continue to use this location to satiate my Americanized taco cravings despite the silly drive thru setup, because well...
Read moreStaff is pretty rude. Order is often messed up (missing items, empty wraps, etc). Spoke with management (Chris) over the phone and was promised a replacement for my order. Came in to replace it a week later with the original receipt, managers name, and time I spoke with him and was given a hard time. My replacement order was also missing items, wraps barely had filling... Took it back and got yelled at by the manager on duty (also Chris, but different than the one I spoke to originally, I believe as staff says there are 2 Chris's) who told me that I'm crazy and I need to get over it and continued to get loud with me. At this point everyone behind me in line was watching, the entire kitchen staff stopped what they were doing to watch the interaction. I asked for either a refund or for my food to be remade (it was cold, still missing items, and poorly assembled). Manager continued to yell "OHH MY GOOOOOOD", slam his hands on counters and tell me I'm crazy, "the original order was a WEEK AGO DUDE"... I stated I was never given a deadline. Manager continued to escalate and yell over me... I stated he could keep the food and the money (my total was $19.63 for the original order). I won't be coming back to this location. I love taco Bell but not enough to be yelled at over wanting my...
Read moreI consider myself to be somewhat of a Taco Bell expert and this is one of my least favorite locations.
I usually go earlier in the day because the crew that works there in the morning does a much better job than the afternoon crew. I'd like to give a shoutout to the older lady who works the drive thru in the mornings during the week – she is extremely friendly and I always have great interactions with her. She is the reason why this isn't a one star review.
That said, everyone else at this Taco Bell should be ashamed of themselves. I ALWAYS have issues here.
For starters, it's usually super busy. That's fine though, because I can just order online ahead of time and pick it up in the store. . . right? WRONG. For some reason, the doors to the restaurant seem to be closed and locked most days. If this happens, you have to get in the long drive thru line to get your food (which takes about 25 minutes) and your food will be cold by then.
I actually managed to get into the restaurant the other day and someone who works there had their kid behind the counter and the kid was screaming louder than anybody should scream in a Taco Bell.
Taco Bell is supposed to be where dreams come true. That is not the case at...
