I had to think of the next best place to experience the NFC Championship Game besides being in the craziness of Philly, yet still get enough Fun and Fandom as of i was. PJs in Conshy was just the right place. Drove 30 mins and arrived about an hour and a half early. The seats were full near full already. When i nicely inquired with a staff member about the seating concern (in case i needed to find another establishment before the start of the game). I was assured of the process and that tables were still rotating out etc. We chatted some more and i was seated shortly thereafter. I later learned that this staff member was the GM Brian Rogers. I was even more impressed that he took the time for what i consider customer care. Adreana was our server and although it was super busy, she is very attentive, engaging, personable and patient.. The DJ and game atmosphere (Birdgang) was amazing, we connected with many other patrons and our game snacks were filling. My wings were not as well done as i had requested/hope but it was not a big deal to send them back with such a busy game day. I plan to return to watch the Super Bowl and plan to arrive even earlier for seating.

I gave it some thought before posting, but have to say I was pretty displeased with this bar. I had been looking forward to trying it for several months, and was finally able to stop in for dinner this week. I ordered a beer, a salad and some quesadillas. By the time my food came out all together I had ordered my 2nd beer. While I started on the salad the quesadillas came out shortly after. Upon the FIRST BITE of my quesadillas I noticed something hard and crunchy in my mouth. Discretely I reached into my mouth and pulled out a plastic bread tag!! I notified the bar tender who immediately got the manager. I don't get upset, and I understand accidents happen, but this was really disturbing to me. The manager and bar tender both apologized and offered to get me another, as well as pay for my beer. I declined and decided I needed to finish my salad and beer since I was still very hungry. Notifying the bartender I was finished she handed me a bill for the salad and the first beer. As I said, I had given it some thought before posting, but I know I won't be going back. For those that do - might be good to check your food before the first bite.

I wish I had something good to say here. This was my first visit to any PJs, let alone this one. We stopped in recently and was really less than thrilled at the end of my experience. If it had only been for the few drinks during happy hour, it would have been a decent experience. But, I made the mistake of ordering food to-go for us. I ordered to-go since I was out with a few other people. I can say we were disappointed pretty much immediately as we opened the food containers. We wanted fries with the burger instead of chips. There is a 2 dollar uncharged for that, okay, that's fine. But for the small portion, it was upsetting. It looked like there was a small bite out of the burger. It could have been cut out while cooking, but just draws attention. The bottom bun felt like it was run under a faucet. It was absolut mush and fell apart while picking it up. The chicken bacon ranch sandwich was okay. It was cooked properly but still lacked any real taste. This really was a bad first visit. This is the kind of experience that makes you avoid a place.

The worst dining experience of my life — hands down.

Let me set the scene: we went for my brother-in-law’s birthday with a party of nine. Because of our group size, we were seated outside, which I didn’t think twice about — until I realized it meant we were basically forgotten. Our server was juggling multiple tables inside and we were left waiting endlessly for even the most basic service. To be clear, the server may not have been fully at fault, and the table still tipped well over 25% out of fairness — but the service itself was slow, disconnected, and poorly managed.

Now on to the food — where do I even begin?

Absolutely inedible. Not a single dish was remotely decent. I’ve had better food from a gas station. • The wings? Hard as rocks with barely any sauce — more like dried-out leftovers than anything freshly made. • My son’s hotdog was literally burnt. Not grilled — burnt. • The burgers were so dry they crumbled apart like cardboard. • The shrimp tacos tasted like they just pulled some old, frozen shrimp out of a microwave. Completely flavorless and rubbery. • The drinks were a total joke — not even a hint of alcohol in them, and we tried more than one. Save your money and pour yourself a soda instead.

And then comes the final insult: my salad. I ordered the Asian salad with salmon — they charged me an extra $7 for what I can only describe as a child-sized piece of salmon. I’ve never seen a smaller serving in a restaurant. It was laughable — if I wasn’t so annoyed, I probably would’ve taken a picture to prove it.

Why didn’t we send any of this mess back? Because it took 15 minutes just to get extra dressing. We knew we’d be sitting there another hour if we dared complain. It wasn’t worth the frustration on what was supposed to be a fun evening.

This place was a disaster from start to finish. Poor service (whether intentional or understaffed), unacceptable food quality, watered-down drinks, and prices that make the whole thing feel like a scam. I don’t know how they’re still in business.

Do yourself a favor: go literally...

Updated review, 12/11/24. After my negative review a month or more ago, the manager promptly sent me a gift card to return to this pub. I went in to use it two weeks ago. I didn't stay to eat because the barmaid said they were out of malt vinegar, which I use on fish and chips. I went in a week later and they were still out of malt vinegar (which I'd emailed the manager about) but this time I brought my own. Service was still very slow although the bar wasn't very busy. At the end the barmaid didn't charge me for my beer.

I understand that regular customers will get more attention. But you get repeat customers but giving good service! And older people often have more time and money to eat out. I'm usually a very good tipper, but if service isn't good the tip won't be outstanding either. I like the fish and chips in this pub and will probably go back, but there are other pubs that serve this, including other PJW's in the area. As the marketing gurus of the 1990's wrote, "A complaint is a gift," and that's how I hope this review will be interpreted.

Was in last week and the service at the bar was awful even though the bar wasn't crowded. It's a chain bar, not a high quality restaurant, but still you expect a certain level of service. This place just doesn't have the staff to provide that. Lot's of seats, lots of TV screens. Not enough servers. I have had better service before so maybe it was just that...

This location recently opened up and we were looking forward to having a local sports bar/restaurant in town. Every new restaurant has its kinks to work out but due to the size and impersonal atmosphere I don't see this being different than any other big box chain restaurant. As we walked in there were a few hosts/hostesses standing at the desk but they seemed too busy to greet us. We waited a few minutes until the main hostess begrudgingly asked us how many people were in our party and then continued to give us a huge attitude. We honestly wanted to walk out right then and really should have but it was late and we gave her the benefit if the doubt that she was just having a bad night and that the service would be better once we sat down. They sat us under a speaker in the corner so it was tough to hear eachother talk at the table but being a sports bar we just went with it. We all ordered tap beer, two of which were flat and the food was mediocre at best. The waitress was busy but attentive and I'd say extremely attentive with my husband. I actually felt like the third wheel as she flirted with him most of the night. We laughed it off and couldn't wait to get our check and get out of there! Needless to say we won't be returning but if you're looking for a quick place to sit down to have typical fried food and burgers, flat beer, bad service (with the exception of a flirtatious server) and pay above average prices then it's...
