I have always loved chilis but I definitely will not be returning to this location. I was there 12/17/23 and whoever was managing that place was doing an absolutely horrible job. I’ve been to multiple chilis dozens of times and I’ve always loved their food and service but when I went for my birthday the other day the service was horrible, I think we saw our server twice the whole time and when I got up to use the bathroom I saw a bunch of the workers huddled together in a booth on their phones chatting as if they were guests. We had to go looking for server a few times when they forgot a fork, forgot my water twice, didn’t get us out to go boxes, and when we needed the bill. When I went to the bathroom their was feces splattered and dripping on the walls in the women’s bathroom and on the floor and the toilet seat that looked like it’d been there for quite some time. There was toilet paper everywhere and the paper towel machines weren’t working or empty. The Bloody Mary tasted like they forgot a few ingredients and wasn’t the best. And those chicken fajitas, I’ve gotten chicken fajitas every single time I’ve been to chilis and I was so disappointed when they brought out my food and the chicken was still a little pink, not grilled, not how it has ever looked and it was slathered in some kinda dressing that I didn’t recognize. I felt bad asking to send it back because I didn’t want to inconvenience them and when I got it back the beans and rice were way over cooked and they gave me the SAME EXACT PIECE OF MEAT that I sent back, the only difference was this time they cooked it until it was black on the edges and cut it up a little bit more so I couldn’t tell it was the same piece but I could tell that it was. From the time me and the person I was with got to our table to when we got our food was 1 hour and 18 minutes and we were 1 or 5 tables and maybe 6 people at the bar. It wasn’t busy at all. I’ve worked at diners in the past so I could kinda tell by the laughs that were coming from the kitchen weren’t because they were so happy to be doing their job. The service was absolutely horrible and my birthday wasn’t the best but that service definitely impacted the rest of my day. I really don’t like to be a Karen and I wasn’t even going to write this review but when I told a few of my friends about my experience nonchalantly that’s when multiple people said I should at least write a review. We even tipped 20% and I can tell you I don’t think I’ll ever be tipping at chilis again. Whoever that manager running that place is should be ashamed of themselves for the business they’re trying to represent. I absolutely love chilis but I hate the Plymouth...
Read moreThis was my first time going to a Chili's, so I do apologize for mentioning something that many know of.
First: Coca-Cola products.
Waitress. She was very nice to us, and had tried to be welcoming and accomodating to us. She checked up on us a few times through our lunch, but it could've been slightly more frequent since it only had 6 other patrons than myself and my fiancee, it looking basically empty. She wasn't the only one, too. There were at least another 1 or 2 waitresses. She was still very kind and had given decent recommendations, so I didn't feel it would be fair to remove the 20% gratuity.
Appetizers. They give bottomless chips(tortillas) and salsa, which was awesome. I had seen the skillet queso, and it said original and beef. I asked of that, and I was told it was just queso cheese and beef. I've enjoyed queso and beef mixed together before, so I figured I'd go with that. The queso that was brought out wasn't as I expected. I'm not one that eats beans, and when I had taken a first larger bite, I had not gotten beef. It turned me off quite a bit from that, but when maneuvering around the bean chunks, the flavor was still delicious. Reminded me of Chili Cheese Fritos. I had to order an entrée after that.
Entrées. Fiancee went with the Honey Chipotle Crispers. He stated the sauce was good, and the chicken wasn't dry at all. I had gotten the Just Bacon burger, and doubled it before asking about not having the lettuce, tomato, red onion, and pickles. I got it with no pink, and the entrées both came with fries. I got 2 pieces of bacon, and I had forgotten to ask them to make it crispy. Fiancée took them as we normally do, but he ended up not wanting it.
The bacon, he said, only tasted half cooked. I'd taken a pic specifically of the bacon for that reason, too.
So, with the now simple double cheeseburger, it was large in size, so that's a good thing. It was very juicy even though it was without pink, which said something there. The fries, I had gotten fresh ones, but after maybe 7 minutes later, it started to cool down fast, and removed the crispness of the fries.
For the juicy burger(minus half cooked bacon), and his enjoyment of the crispers, that is why 2 instead of less for food.
Half-cooked items give an instant 0 stars in my books normally. That it was the only thing wrong, it's of giving some leeway. If either of us gets sick, it definitely will drop to 0, but for now, we dodged that.
The price, with the 20%, equaled 65$, and at that price, it reminded him of why he stopped going. I can agree in comparison to other places we've enjoyed,...
Read moreFirst of all, I would like to start off with chili is one of my favorite restaurants, however, the experience I just had at this chili was just absolutely disgusting when it comes to service and fruit preparation and falling food safety standards. I asked for the ultimate cajun pasta, which isn’t expensive meal which is fine. It’s not a problem, but I expected it to be hot when I received it and upon receiving it, I asked to get it made because it was cold able to stick my finger through the middle and it being completely cold, not the same plate of pasta that I received first time just either microwaved or held under convection which did nothing but dehydrate all the protein that was in that and made the noodles hard and made the sauce not run anymore so I know that’s how they microwaved it or put it in convection. Secondly, my wife received fajitas as we all know from restaurants if you can if someone orders for as you can hear them Picked up to my server that wasn’t it in a wooden casing for the cast iron and it was cold unacceptable and upon telling manager David, I received a deer in the headlights look as if I had the audacity to come talk to him about service he said hold on. I’ll get right with you. Met with his kitchen staff. I’m assuming and came back and received, what he thought was appropriate for an accommodation which was an apology and a $20 gift card for Chili’s now upon ending our mail ended up being $90 which is fine however with nothing being to acceptable standard even when it came to the sides that were cold and our server forgot about my drink and when I ordered Samuel Adam tall, I received two mugs at the same time completely other disorganization and dysfunction and it’s Sunday and so I expected these restaurants to be you know packed in and full this one however, was not it was empty, so there is no reason that we should’ve received the service that we got and and the gift cards and to run along. also vegetables undercooked but burn it the same time and then when I for examples of the burn marks on the heaters that my wife had received, he played it off as if as if I was insane. He was like oh well it must’ve been with the kitchen or something so no real explanation. No real accommodation wasn’t expecting my money back, but was definitely expecting some kind of reconciliation for the problems the endless problems mind you that we continue to have will never return to this restaurant made me lose confidence in the franchise. Y’all really missed the bar...
