Honestly not pleased with our experience here. We tried them for dinner and breakfast. We were excited to try, photos looked good. Stayed at hotel so it was was very convenient but will not be going again if we stay at the hotel again. Restaurant has no clear theme or identity. Decor was all over the place. Booths looked like horse stalls. Drinks were subpar, not consistent in taste or color. Ordered the mai tai, the wave and a standard margarita and the margaritas tasted terrible no flavors at all. Other drinks tasted like there was 0 alcohol at all not like ones I've had other places. Margaritas tasted like tequila and club soda and mostly the club soda. Had to squeeze a lime and a orange into it to make it bearable.
Service was all over the place people moving frantically. They weren't very inviting whatsoever. No thanks for coming in or any acknowledgment when we left. Viewed at least 5 groups of people waiting 15+ minutes waiting for hostess to show up to seat them. And restaurant wasn't full or busy at all. Had to ask for kids menu when we had multiple kids.
Dinner: Food was ok but there were a lot of mistakes made. Waitress couldn't remember who ordered what and brought drinks to wrong person at table and same with the food even when we were telling her who's food that was. She just put the food down at the wrong spots. Not too much to ask to remember who ordered what. Chicken wings were over cooked and tough. Braised short rib was not cooked properly, it was not tender at all definitely overcooked. Crispy Brussels were burnt not browned. Pasta was slightly undercooked and had so much oil it was like a soup in the bowl. Asked for extra capers and there was maybe 5 in the whole dish. Supposed to be tagliatelle pasta but i also had shells in my dish. There was a verbal fight between the owner and a customer. Customer was in the wrong but owner could have apologized to guests for the disturbance.
Breakfast: So many mistakes. Again waitress couldn't remember anything we had to rearrange everything that was brought out. Asked for eggs and toast and they added potatoes, potatoes were not listed on that menu item, probably had to pay for that. Asked for no whip cream on waffle came out with whip cream. Menu clearly states with warm maple syrup and we got packages of breakfast syrup, reading ingredients its not even maple syrup. This is New England serve real maple syrup especially if thats what is said on the menu. Sausage links were almost raw in middle not cooked enough = stomach aches. Eggs ordered over easy and yokes not runny at all. Some toast was completely burnt others completely soggy. Ordered an omlette with spinach, mushrooms, sausage, hash, and cheese. There wasn't any hash, they added onion, which I dont like. There was a chunk of braised short rib in it. I couldn't find any cheese. And it was poorly constructed. All the sausage was shoved to one side and the spinach and mushrooms at the other side with the short rib in the middle. Thats not how an omlette is made. The waitress took my card to cash us out came back 15 mins later with the bill again. We already gave her the card she looked around and finally found it.
Not a happy customer. Won't be going back, not worth the long time it takes to get in and out and not worth the...
Read moreWent here with 2 other couples that regularly dine in Plymouth and other foodie cities and we were very disappointed. Hopefully they can take this constructively and turn things around as the bartender (very nice and talkative) said they are newly opened. We had a younger server who was polite but didn’t make any mention of specials (we saw the sign on the wall as we were walking out and maybe would have liked to try the chicken and waffles or salmon dish). Started with a variety of apps. Steak and cheese egg rolls (wrapper was fried ok but meat not seasoned well and no apparent cheese inside - was served just with ketchup for dipping but with a good queso dipping sauce or something sauce it would be better), chicken tenders (seemed hand made but the sun dried chili sauce wasn’t very prominent and was separated oil and bits not quite an aioli), short rib poutine (pretty watery short rib over L shaped frozen tots - gravy was ok and just a cheese sauce not curds), and lastly calamari (not super vibrant - did have some cherry peppers as advertised but a few had the stems on them and the same chili aioli dipping sauce was used but not enough used to coat whole order - also no fresh lemon was apparent). Entrees were short rib tacos (same wet meat as poutine with store bought tortillas that seemed old or weren’t warmed properly before filling - slaw and sauce were there but they needed something to make it pop like sprigs of cilantro and/or fresh jalapeños - couldn’t locate the queso fresco and would have liked a slice of lime for freshness too), fish tacos (these were fried and were satisfactory and the seasoned fries were pretty good - no slice of lime or lemon provided either), Reuben (bread not grilled but maybe toasted and when asked server for extra thousand island for dipping his response was “we don’t have thousand island” but he did bring some sauce but it wasn’t clear what they were calling it), steak tips (got good review and were cooked correctly but seemed basic), fresh pasta dish (swimming in oil at the bottom of dish and was overly seasoned with dried Italian seasoning from a shaker bottle), and lastly mac and cheese (just tasted like straight butter, no cheese or cream or anything and the kids couldn’t even eat it so that is a big red flag and we sent it back and they did appropriately take it off the bill). Warm churro on the outside of the ice cream dish was pretty good but could’ve used more cinnamon and sugar. Watermelon martini got good reviews but the espresso martini was lackluster. Not trying to bash this place but if they are trying to compete in this town, this lack of execution, flavor and identity won’t get them very far. Maybe they are just hoping to capitalize on the hotel guests and convenience factor but this will definitely not draw any locals there. I do wish them the best of luck but I can’t see our group investing in another $300 tab...
Read moreI went here june 4th with my family with high hopes after reading some of the other reviews and seeing the pictures. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and kind. The food however is another story. I ordered orange juice and it was barely a couple of sips worth and half of it was pulp. I'm also pretty sure the refills were not free. For 3$ I was expecting for it to at least be cold. I didn't want to base my experience there solely off of the drinks so I gave the food the benefit of the doubt. We all ordered our food and after about an hour and a half some of it finally came out. We waited about 20 more minutes for all the food to be at the table. I was pretty excited about the avocado toast as it seems like it was utilized on the menu. However, it had a tiny glob of avocado in the center of soggy bread. One of the things on the table was tater tots and when I looked some of them had black hair sticking out of them. My cheese omelet had no cheese and the peppers were soggy and wet. The cream cheese bagel came with cream cheese you had to do yourself however I didn't mind doing that. The bagel was tough and stale. Honestly, we all just wanted to get out of there so I didn't bother mentioning any of the problems. The server was extremely sweet and of course, none of this is her fault. I'm also pretty sure there was only one chef. After eating my food I had a terrible stomach ache and ended up just sitting in the car. Two other members of our party had the same problem. The reason this is posted so late is because at the time there was so cjs bar and grille...
