do yourself a big favor and don't eat here. Go to yangzi just down the road instead. Yangtze outclasses tea Tea House in every way. My girlfriend and I sat down and we noticed that there was food all over our plate, cup and silverware. I was pretty shocked and we asked for a Clean Plate, cup and silverware. The waitress casually noted that none of the stuff had been washed. I thought a big mistake had been made but it would be corrected. I was wrong. 3 times we asked for Clean Plate, cup and silverware. And I never got it everything they brought me was encrusted in food. That was a pretty awkward. I used to deliver water softening salt to tea house so I would have to go into the kitchen to fill their water softener. That kitchen is absolutely disgusting, I did not like what I saw one bit. been going in here since I was a little tiny kid. I used to ask to go here on my birthday. The truth is this block is on the way down. Tea house is taking advantage of this excellent location but they're not delivering on it. The food has taken a nosedive. I mean to tell you that having loved this place for years but having that dirty silverware plate and cup experience I'm kind of at a state of disbelief. I'm not going to come back to this place. I have lived to see this place completely fail. I'll eat at a hole in the wall every night of the week if the food is good and I can get a Clean Plate, cup and silverware. I never thought it was much to ask for a Clean Plate cup and set of silverware. I really don't know what to say. We ate off the platter rather than the plate and we didn't touch the cup or the silverware they gave us, we used the Serving Spoon. Just don't go here. Something seriously...
Read moreTerrible customer service. We called and made an online order, for chicken fried rice and shrimp fried rice, probaly the most easiest thing to make. We got there to pick it up, and we paid when we picked it up and when we got home we got the chicken fried rice, but instead of the shrimp fried rice, we got plain white rice. We called them and told them, and they repeatedly asked us if we were sure and kept acting as if they didn’t believe us. We offered so send a picture of the rice and they kept on saying no and said we had to go back to show them. We were already in a rush so we kept saying we didn’t have time and that we could send them a photo and they kept on insisting that we were wrong and to bring it back. Then we asked them if they could make us the shrimp fried rice, and they said we had to bring back the chicken fried rice as well, which was already being eaten, and they kept on insisting and insisting and were just flat out rude. When we got there, he said “Let me see it, i can’t beileve it” so we opened it and he looks inside and slams it down. He goes into the back and then comes back and says it’ll be 5 minutes. This place needs a lesson on customer service big time. It’s absolutely ridiculous, all we asked was for them to make us what we paid for, and we got attitude and terrible customer service. I will not be ordering...
Read moreAlways looking for a good chinese restaurant. Found this near one of our shopping locations. Started off with Won ton soup and Szechuan dumplings. My daughter polished off the won tons so they must be good. The dumplings were awesome with lots of garlic and a bit of kick. The red in the photo is likely some chili oil. Ordered chicken fried rice, cumin beef, and sesame chicken for our entrees. Chicken fried rice had good size and all white meat chicken. Sticky rice was nice and tender and appropriately sticky. The cumin beef was a great mix of cumin, chili flakes, and cilantro (not something would expect but gave it a nice flavor). The sesame chicken had a nice sweet sauce that wasnt watery like you get at other places. The chicken was all white meat and nice and crunchy. As for the staff, greeted promptly as we walked in the door, very attentive and politely answered questions about the menu. Overall a great place from this experience where not overly packed but also not empty as we've encountered with other places. A win for us as this reminds us of our favorite CO chinese restaurant and has taken us a bit over two years to find a place like this.
We'll be back to sample more...
