I love Vela, so much so that I have to work hard to NOT stop in every single time I drive by! All of their items are delicious- I love the chocolate maca smoothie and every single one of their gourmet toasts. The baked goods are so fresh and yummy. I usually order on the app and pick up, but sometimes I just walk in. It’s always clean and the staff is super sweet, no matter how busy it gets! The only thing that can be tricky is the parking, especially during crazy spring/ summertime - there is only street parking available immediately outside the shop but there are some public lots within short walking distance!

Stumbled into this place after eating Thai food across the street, and it is spectacular. The people were working hard but very pleasant and sending out peaceful vibes, which was expected as per the rainbow peace flag, colorful chairs, and keep calm sign out front. The menu is very clearly labeled for allergens and contains many delicious and healthy options. We opted for the dairy and gluten free lemon donuts and they were absolutely delicious. Importantly, they were priced extremely fairly and not outrageously as most vegan and gluten free items are at most places. Super impressed.

After a long hot day trekking to historic sites, I needed more than water. I asked for a Strawberry 🍓 , Grapefruit, Orange 🍊 , Mint, lime 🍋‍🟩 juice. They may have forgotten the mint, but it was quite yummy. It was $9.50, so not cheap, but oh so satisfying and hydrating! I love that they have coconut-water based juices too! This is a great resource for hot summer days of historic exploration!! There is outdoor seating. No bathrooms sadly. They do have a pickup window which is nice. Fully accessible.

A True Gem in the HEART of Plymouth

I’ve been a regular at this incredible healthy lifestyle food & juice bar for several years now, and it’s safe to say it’s one of the true cornerstones of our community. The food is always incredibly fresh, generous, consistent, and super healthy—exactly what you'd want from a place that genuinely cares about wellness. But what really sets this place apart is the staff. They’re the kind of people who make you feel like family the moment you walk through the door. After all this time, they know me by name and often have my order ready before I’ve even grabbed a napkin and spoon for my protein acai bowl. Their kindness and personal attention are unmatched, and it's clear that this warmth extends to every single customer who walks in. The owners have done a fantastic job in training crew to their commitment to customer service and satisfaction. Even during the busiest hours (and yes, it’s almost always buzzing because it’s just that good), the team never misses a beat. They greet everyone with a smile and always send you off with a kind word. It's those little touches—like the thoughtful notes written on to-go orders—that truly brighten my day and make every visit special. Beyond the excellent service and nutritious offerings, what makes this juice bar a standout is its heart. They consistently give back to the Plymouth community and support numerous local organizations. Their generosity, humility, and commitment to doing good are truly inspiring. I often find myself wishing more businesses followed their lead—not just in terms of the high-quality food, but in the genuine warmth and compassion they radiate. If you're looking for a place that nourishes both your body and your spirit, this...

Weirdest non-existent service ever experienced in a business. We wanted something to drink before going thru the Pilgrim Museum and saw this place. I picked out a pre-packaged drink from the self serve fridge and my friend wanted a custom drink, so we sat at the counter. There was one other person at the counter, one person at a table and one person standing waiting to pay at the register. We were completely ignored for 20 minutes while employees talked to each other, wandered around, and made zero eye contact with us. The guy at the register paid and left, the guy at the counter finished his drink and left, and the woman at the table was given the last part of her order. Still we were ignored, even though we were the ONLY customers in the place waiting to be served. My friend said loudly, “I guess we’ll just leave then “, the nearest employee was not a foot away from us and still completely ignored us. So we left. Very odd way to “be in business”, when you refuse to acknowledge your customers. I have never experienced this kind of behavior in a business...

I’ve been going to Vela since it opened. What separates them is the consistency in quality. My forever staple-- the Protein Acai Bowl, is constructed the same, no matter who makes it. That level of consistency over more than a decade lends to a kind of comfort that our family has come to treasure (delicious homemade peanut butter, ripe and plump blubes and strawberries) and the best granola full of flavor and freshness that is just before you get to the acai. You can pick your protein and have yourself a time. The acai is always the same texture (unlike anywhere else I stray that has a strange smoothie concoction.) It's true acai!!

I consume my bowl privately in my car by the waterfront, watching boats and tourists, or after walking the Plymouth Rail Trail with my husband and daughters and we all order our healthy rewards.

The smoothies also all slap, and if you need a juice boost, you can’t go wrong. Also, they do things with chickpeas that no one else can.

If we are on the fly, we order from the app, which...
