There wasn't a sign on the window with the hours, so I walked in (about 10am) because the door was unlocked and I could hear music inside. As soon as I stepped foot inside, some scrawny dude with glasses yelled at me that they weren't open. Read moreI stumbled across this bakery while visiting the used bookstore across the street and saw that they were open the next day. I came just before they opened and there was a line down the street! It moved pretty quickly and when I got inside and to the front I picked out a croissant, a pain au chocolat and a raisin sourdough. The bakery is outstanding. Havent had better sourdough or long loaf since I was an army kid in Germany. The croissants are excellent.
I only hate the crowd and the perceived rush. ... isn't their fault. But as much as I enjoy the product (and the great service)-- I dread getting up and getting over there early Saturday almost equally as much as I love having it.
