I’ve been a Point resident for 25 years. 5 of those as a literal neighbor to Pat’s. Countless wonderful visits. A bigger fan and promoter of their business you wouldn’t find. I’m sad to say the King has fallen, the legend has died. Over the years I’ve noticed a modest decline but they were still several notches above their next closest competitor. The last year I’ve been there about 6 times and each time the downward slide progressed … I don’t know what has changed, ownership, management? I’ve no idea. As a VERY long time and loyal customer I didn’t want to give up on them easily. Sadly, my last visit will indeed be my last. Their food sunk to a new low … two cheesesteaks that were a soggy, odd tasting and disgusting mess and a pizza that left me embarrassed for them (all for the bargain price of $66). I saddens me to have lost what was a local legend but as they say, all good things must come to and end…. And Pat’s reign as “the best” is...
Read moreOrdered plain chicken cutlet and was told I would be charged for chicken Parmesan which was five pieces of chicken. What i received was two burnt chicken cutlets cut into five pieces for $15. They agreed to take it back but the counter person was apparently annoyed & he & others continued to give us dirty looks throughout our stay. We ordered the eggplant Parmesan platter which was just okay. However, the medium pizza was good. For some reason the same counter person thought we ordered a medium pizza to go. We had no idea why. Once again he rudely showed his annoyance. When it was time to pay the counter person whispered to the girl who was ringing us up to charge us for a large pie. I guess he thought we weren’t aware of it. I suppose he was hard up for the difference between the medium/large pizza. By that time we were disgusted & rather than argue we paid and left. Won’t be back & would...
Read moreEver been on the hunt for something you had as a kid and loved but noone else compared? For me I have been trying to find a good meatball sub and my husband a good cheesesteak. Pat's did just that! That's why I feel bad giving 4 stars but I promise it's a good 4. The food is great- even the cauliflower pizza option, but it's hard for me to give it that 5. The only thing holding me back is a. The inside dining can use a little updating and b. the options for a slice to just grab and go are a bit limited. I like to see more variety/creativity but myself and most locals dont mind bc they are busy daily and when we moved to the area everyone raved about this place. Staff is friendly and food is always hot fresh and prepared quickly. I've never had to wait 40+ minutes like other local shops have made us. It's def. the best pizza place in Point Pleasant...
