A fun ice cream spot with folklore monster/cryptid-themed special treats in addition to some standard menu items. The brightly-colored furniture and storefront make this place stand out in a cheerful way. It was hard to pick what to order because each featured item looked and sounded great-- I got a cookie milkshake that I think was called "Monster Crave," and it was delicious (and very photogenic)! The weather was good, so we enjoyed our ice cream at the one table outside. The man working that day was very nice. As out-of-town visitors with just a few hours to spend in Point Pleasant, we're glad we put this on our list of stops!

A stop at the Mothman Museum would not have been complete if I hadn't stopped in at, What's The Scoop, to get my obligatory Moth Man Sunday before continuing on my journey. It was both tasty and affordable as well as unique and creative! They were all out of mint chocolate chip (to make him green) while I was there but there were other yummy options to choose from. They also have a lot of moth man related items for sale, my favorite of which were the upcycled Mothman reinspired paintings. Don't skip this on your way out!

my family and i stopped here today excited to try the ice cream. they had no descriptions for the sundaes or milkshakes, only pictures. the lady at the counter was very miserable. they charged us $15 for a cup and didnā€™t even tell us or have anything up about there being a charge. they then charged us for the actual milkshake that was in the cup. they didnā€™t even ask and just assumed we wanted the cup. and if it was with that milkshake they couldā€™ve said something and we wouldnā€™t have gotten it. i think the employees need to be trained on how to actually greet and talk to customers. iā€™m a server as well so i know some things you just canā€™t help but please give your employees some training. we will never stop here again so you just lost what couldā€™ve been a loyal customer. none the less the ice cream...

Noel and I were in Point Pleasant, HOT on the Trail of the Mothman on this sunny, warm afternoon, when we happened on "What's the Scoop" Ice Cream Parlor at 512 Main Street.

We had to go in and check it out!!!

Noel got "The Mermaid" small version for $5 and even though I wanted one of their creative Ice Cream masterpieces, I opted for a scoop of Strawberry Cheesecake for $1.50...I am slightly lactose intolerant....I hate that for ME!!!!
