OK let me just say that if you never had a fancy dinner at a gas station… This is your big chance! If I was just driving by, there’s no way I would stop here. However, after reading the reviews and seeing that they had oysters I was down for the unique experience. When I walked in, I was greeted by much more than I expected. Their assortment of oysters is unrivaled. Their service is with a smile and exceptional. Everyone who works there stayed busy and yet made it seem as if they were completely relaxed and took everything in stride. Jay with the tattoos was extremely attentive and had great personality. Will brought a very calming mood to my experience. Jordan is quick, gorgeous, and bubbly. Nick was on point. I don’t know anyone’s exact roles but he seemed like a cook and all the food he served to me was an excellent explosion in my mouth.
I loved the raw oysters, the cooked oysters, my fish and the rum cake blew my mind. I can’t wait to come back… I might...
Read moreMy first visit to Flamingo Seafood was today. I was driving by and noticed they were finally opened. I bought the salmon and went home to bake with vegetables. The salmon was fresh and absolutely delicious. I am so happy to have a fresh seafood market that sells fresh fish and seafood. Their Salmon is far superior in taste to Whole Foods or Publix. I liked how the guys were fileting the fish right in view of customers. There is no comparison to other stores who sell fish around this area. I'm looking forward to stopping in again to try their other kinds of fish such as the smoked salmon, Mahi, Cod, Tuna, Sea Bass and fish dip. Actually everything looked fresh and appetizing. The restuurant looked like an enjoyable place to have a seafood entree with a glass of wine, if you don't feel like cooking...it was clean with a relaxed vibe and ambiance. Please stop in and try, so they continue to serve our neighborhood. Looking forward to shopping...
Read moreHands down, best oysters I have ever had. We read an earlier review from a customer who had apparently talked shop with the owner, so we were convinced to give it a shot. While I’m not an aficionado (and I honestly am not crazy about oysters) we loved the happy hour oysters (“shucker’s choice”) enough to come back a second time. Between the two of us we housed 18 oysters in addition to the Gorgonzola cheesecake and the wahoo crudo. Next visit (two days later) we tried the salmon tartare and also had the sea bass and pumpkin swordfish. This is a resto that CARES about their seafood and lets it speak for itself, without adding too many bells and whistles. Server John and bartender Chris took great care of us and had recommendations that did not disappoint. We are not locals (unfortunately) but we left knowing this would be a spot we’d be talking about for a while. Can’t wait...
