Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The company, in my opinion, only cares about making the most $$$ they can even at the expense of their customers. I made a reservation at this hotel just a week and a half ago. Today 2 1/2 days prior to my visit I heard on the news that there will be a hurricane arriving within hours of my flight. This hotel location is expected to get anywhere from 2 to 5 feet of water surges. A deadly amount of water. This hotel is not a high-rise. In addition it’s only a couple of blocks from the open Atlantic ocean on one side and then Atlantic ocean canal on the other side. Most likely this hotel will flood and lose power. They have no generator or any accommodations for hurricanes. They will have limited staff on site I’m told. However, if I want to cancel my reservation 2 1/2 days prior they will charge me 100% for my first reservation night and 50% of any subsequent nights. I was booked for three nights so I will be charged for two full nights plus service charges and cleaning charges. That is 2/3 of my stay. I find that to be absolutely unreasonable with the situation at hand. They could’ve even offered me a credit for three nights to be used in the future at some other time when there wasn’t a hurricane hitting. Now if they had full accommodations for hurricanes so that I could still possibly enjoy myself staying in their facility I could understand. But they don’t have a generator they don’t have any special precautions they’re not a pie in anyway and they aren’t even going to be fully staffed or even half staffed so basically they’ll be no one there is my understanding I can call and hope somebody might come if we’re having 4 foot water surges. If I could give this place a zero star I would do it. This is my very first time using Airbnb and this hotel. I will not be using either in the future. When I stay at a regular well-known hotel I’ve never had this problem. You can cancel within 24 hours no charge. And many of the hotels I stay at do in fact have generators because they care about their customers and not their bottom...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible checkin experience.
Booked this room for 5 days, went to check in at around 6. Headed to the office to find the door locked and an aggressive women sitting behind the desk. Bang on the door till she opened it for her to tell us she stopped working at 5pm.
Two things why are you sitting behind the desk after hours and how the hell am I suppose to check in. She stated I should have received an email to check in. I checked my entire email in front of her and showed her I recieved nothing from the travel agency or this hotel. She kept telling me well you should have received an email and I explained again that I have not and she told me she will not be helping me to call the after hours number.
Second terrible experience was dealing with the useless after hours associate. I explained the situation and after looking into it he found out that the hotel sent the travel agency the check in email. I never recieved like I told the aggressive butch. The person on the phone was just as rude and when I checked his attitude he stopped answering the phone and kept forwarding me the check in email which he then would decline right after.
So 3 hours later we are now still in front of the hotel, the aggressive man women went home and the person on the phone was still deliberately not answering my calls and declining our check in. I received a text in the morning from this terrible hotel asking me how my first night stay was. Felt more like the butch returned to work and decided to text us how our stay was it felt condesending and sarcastic they know we did not stay cause we never made it in the system.
Beware of their check in process and the staff they have there. They are both extremely rude and useless. Never had the chance to stay and thank goodness. The travel agency refunded me my money.
Terrible service; suggest looking into the Ocean Beach Palace. Amazing service, office available at all hours, incredible workers, clean, across from the beach and 5 mins from...
Read moreThe worst hotel I have ever been to. First day before check in, my little daughter insisted on swimming in the pool which looked dirty to me and the poor kid accidentally swallowed water from their cloudy dirty pool. First she complained of pain while peeing right after she got out and I immediately knew this pool was full of chlorine. Next day she started vomiting and developed fever. We took her to the Dr (not sure yet if my insurance will cover that, as we were on a trip in the states) . The Dr prescribed antibiotics and our vacation there was ruined and was mainly spent in the "dirty outdated " room looking after my daughter. Unfortunately I didn't see the bad reviews about the pool of this hotel until this incident happened. They know how dirty it is because the day I complained to the reception lady who by the way didn't seem to be professional at all, she sent a guy to put a water hoze in the pool to change the water and brought a net to remove the bugs and leaves floating on the surface. So my poor kid's vacation was ruined feeling so sick and I as a mom wouldn't recommend this dirty hotel to anyone who has kids. ||As for the room, what can I say other than the pictures are basically a scam. I took the room with kitchen and bedroom because pictures looked very good. However, it is very tight, dark, outdated and sofa bed metal frame was bent and the mattress was falling in between bars. My elder daughter had to sleep in our friend's room because she couldnt sleep on it the first night. May be the location is good. The outdoor seating area is cute in the evening. But even that, I didn't enjoy because of my daughter's infection. This hotel shouldn't be listed on travel platforms until they fix their hygiene issues. And definitely, neither I will go back, nor I will recommend...
