JUNGWON Korean Restaurant — Restaurant in Pooler

This was a very unassuming Korean restaurant with amazing flavor. My family and I were all pleasantly surprised at how delicious our meals were. There was a language barrier with the servers due to them knowing very little english, but that didn’t stop the servers from making recommendations and guiding us on how to grill.

We were all so excited to eat what was served, that we didn’t get any photos of how great the food was presented. I would go as far to say that, they have the best flavor and presentation for Korean food in Pooler so far!

I would recommend going here if you are looking for authentic comforting Korean dishes, not just the bbq!

I will say it was minimal decorations and no music at the time we went, but we didn’t let that stop us from enjoying the food. I always like to try new restaurants. However, I found I can’t give JungWon better rating. First, the price for BBQ is wayyyy overpriced and expensive. They force you order two sets for each meat order. If you want grill beef for example, you have to order $49 times 2 so equals to $100, but the portion size is no difference than other KBBQ place around. So you paid double than others. Second, the service style is strange. Every group is in its own cubicle. It was hard to ask service, only way is press the bottom and wait for someone and most of the employees can’t seem to speak English well.
