Showed up with a couple of friends and a 1 year old, asked for a table and a high chair. Since it was Sunday they only seat at the bar. That's fine, but they first tried to seat us at a tall table...guess we are gonna put the 1 year old under the table in his high chair? They move us to a regular table. After 15 minutes they finally take our drink order. We get our drinks about 5 minutes later. But then it takes another 10 minutes for them to come back to take our food order. We order our food. The waitress comes by and drops off some bread sticks. They bring out my house salad I ordered and I ask for silverware. She takes our glasses and brings us refills. No silverware. We sit there for 15 minutes. In which she walks by our table 3 more times and won't even make eye contact so I can remind her about needing silverware. It's the bar so it is loud and i can't just say excuse me unless I were to yell. I am leaning back in my chair away from the table arms crossed showing all the signs that I'm not happy. Still nothing. We finally give up and stand up. Another waitress asks if everything is OK and we say we are just gonna go and ask how much for our drinks? She says let me get your ticket. She comes back and says don't worry about it. After an hour in the place the only thing we had accomplished was getting drinks and a salad that couldn't even be eaten because we could not get silverware. Very disappointing experience for my first time to try the place. Will also be my last time! If you are going to be a high class restaurant with high class prices. Maybe you should treat your customers like they matter. Even a simple "we are behind, but we are working on it" would suffice. Ignoring your customers is...
Read moreUpdate from visit 3 yrs ago: Today 11/26/24: Very disappointed in the decline in Catellos. Arrived at 2:50 and the dining area was completely empty. After a few minutes waiting to be seated we were seated & placed our drink order...coffee, water, & sweet tea. Coffee was stale, but I wasn't gonna complain & drank it. We waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order. In the meantime another group of 3 entered & waited. The lady picked.up 3 menus, walked past the kitchen, indicated she had the menus, & they seated. Their drink order was taken & served. After about 20 minutes of waiting our order was taken. My order was Italian wedding soup with house salad, my friend ordered steak. When my soup arrived it was room temperature. I waited for a waitress to come by & let her know. (This was a different person than at first) She took it back to the kitchen & returned in about 3 minutes with a heated soup. I have had authentic Italian wedding soup and what they served was NOT Italian wedding soup. The meatballs were store bought frozen meatballs. It was awful!! I took 3 bites & set it aside because I couldn't eat it. The bread sticks were as hard as the croutons in my salad. My friend & i never got a refill on our drinks & the food was awful. I demanded my soup be taken off the ticket which it was but we were charged for my friends side salad that he never received. That did get removed but I was so disappointed because we have eaten there several times & never have we had this...
Read moreI don’t even know where to start. I placed a reservation online at 9 a.m. for a 1 p.m. seating. To be sure everything was set, I called at 11:55 a.m. to confirm. A young man answered and told me we were good to go for 1 p.m.
When we arrived, the same guy (I’m almost certain it was him) claimed they had no record of the reservation. They even tried to convince me I had called the wrong location—until I showed them the number I called, which matched theirs.
Fine, mistakes happen. We waited a bit, and about 10 minutes later a table opened up. Once seated, we had to ask for a towel to dry off the table ourselves. Then the bread came out—served with some of the dirtiest plates I’ve ever seen. This is at a restaurant that sells $100 steaks.
We asked for a towel to wipe the plates, but the waitress said she would bring clean ones instead. Then we waited over an hour for our food. When it finally arrived, my wife's order was incorrect, and the pizzas my son and I ordered were cold.
I asked if they could reheat mine, and the waitress said they weren’t allowed to reheat food—it had to be remade. But then they just brought back the same pizza, reheated.
They did end up giving us a discount, but honestly, we just wanted a clean, enjoyable dining experience with fresh food. Apparently, that’s asking too much these days—even at a place that’s supposed...
