We came in close to close but it was a to go order so I donāt think it was too much of hassle though it did take a while. Now my favorite thing is carne asada fries. Thatās usually what I get at every place i got. First off is the price. It was almost $24 for the fries and a glass bottle coke. Now they are the bigger bottles but the fries were a little pricey compared to what Iāve always paid. It is nearly $10 more than I have always paid. My friend covered me otherwise I wouldnāt have gotten it because of the price alone. First issue was the avocado mix. Iāve never had this kind of guacamole on carne asada fries. Itās got the chunky tomatoes and some type of onion. They also put pico as well as a verde salsa. Which once again isnāt a thing Iāve ever seen. They had the self serve station with their salsa and other such condiments. Didnāt really understand the reason salsa would be added when itās not a thing thatās on it. The fries Im use to have this avocado type sauce stuff and the sour cream. The avocado wasnāt very fresh. The lime and salt wasnāt mixed very well. I did my best to pick around the onions and tomatoes. It was needing that so I had to try. In the photo youāll see the sour cream which I thought was a bit excessive but turned out to not be very much actually. It was because of the fries. They are thicker than normal fries but not quite wedges. As you can expect the inside was soft and mushy. Not horrible tasting just not what Iām used to. The fries were a little dry and the cream that I thought was in abundance didnāt do much for them. I suspect that is why they drown them in the salsa verde. Mercifully I trusted but verified. Also one thing of note I didnāt see anyone over the age of prob23-25. No managers etc. Just looked like a bunch of kids. Nice enough but weird for a restaurant to Be run by Teens. To each their own. In conclusion i most certainly will not be returning and advise if youāre going for the fries expect the unexpected. As for the rest of the stuff it was overpriced as well. Not going to waste my money trying out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst authentic Mexican Restaurant in Port Angeles, omg! Everything was perfect - got 3 chicken taco's and a chicken tamale via the drive through... As I waited for my order I saw the busy kitchen staff filling orders... a pot with sauce was brought over to an entree and the sauce was poured out of the pot onto the food, someone on condiments topped the order with what it needed and then it was put up! Wow... now you might say that's not special - oh yes it is. In the corporate fast (keep it on a warmer) restaurant they have the sauces already cooked and sitting in a warming bin where it's spooned onto your food - how many hours ago was it cooked? Not at El Taco Loco I saw cooked to order. I was only there a few minutes but this was repeated with other orders while i waited. While McD's across the street was dead this place was hopping. Stop by, they just opened and are owner operated. Portion sizes are huge and it's not bland or too spicey just flavorful and authentic. I won't go for Mexican anywhere else and I can't wait to try their other items. (The salsa was awesome too both the green...

I asked the very pleasant counter staff for her suggestion. She steered me to a couple of suggestions. I ended up going with the gordito. Oh my! Amazing choice. I wasn't starving for a burrito because those are like two meals, and this was the perfect amount of food. Fresh crispy fresh corn tortillas and the al pastor were flavorful. I normally have the birria tacos. The consumme is flavorful and robust. Also, check out the salsa bar or condiment station it's loaded with an amazing option to add to your meal. There are many drink options. From fruit flavored water to soft drinks. And for those in a hurry, a...
