Stayed here overnight on our trip to Olympic National Park. Check in went smoothly and the room was clean and comfortable. Located a short distance from the National Park so we were able to do Hurricane Ridge the day we arrived and be back at the hotel in 30 minutes. The hotel does not currently have a breakfast like in some of the pictures you see here, other than granola bars and coffee, but does advise of a 10% discount at the diner located adjacent to the property . We opted to just get breakfast at the Starbucks across the street. Overall a good stay but a bit pricey for what is offered.

Stayed here in the fall last year while visiting ONP. The location can’t be beat. The rooms were clean, front desk friendly, and quiet stay. I saw from a previous review Douglas the cat retired!! Happy he’s safe in retirement but he made the whole trip for us…..well we did get engaged on a mountain during this trip and our stay here, but second to that was Douglas. I hope you put up lots of photos of him so he can continue to bring joy to those who pass through 😊

This is a good welcome for a traveler. Especially with the local feline celebrity Douglas as the resident greeter. Check in was pleasant and informative. The room was the cleanest I had encountered during my trip. Even the freezer portion of the mini fridge was clear of ice crystal build up! I was also grateful to have easy access parking and a good restaurant right next door. The hotel was quiet. It is near to the ferry.

We stayed 4 nights on july 21, 2023. An encounter with a hostile front desk clerk Becky, left us deeply unsettled. We would never consider this hotel as an option for our next visit nor recommend it to anyone! We had no issues until we politely declined housekeeping as we wanted some privacy and relaxation during our vacation. Becky insisted that “they had to get in there on the third day”. Again, I politely declined and informed her we use our own towels and remove our garbage daily. Despite putting up a “Do Not Disturb” sign on our door, Becky stated that it was the hotel’s policy to enter the room regardless of the sign being displayed. I expressed my concern about having asthma and did not want to have to air the room out again. When we arrived, we were met with a strong odor of cleaning products in the hallway and in our room, it was quite strong, and we had to air out the room for several hours. She was very insistent, we needed to call early in the morning and schedule a time they could clean before noon. I tried to explain that I would not be doing this as it was an unreasonable expectation. This is not what we paid for. Feeling unsettled, we packed everything up so they could clean as it sounded like we did not have a choice in the matter. After a long day of travel, we returned to the hotel just before 10pm, soaked from the rain. We found ourselves locked out of our room. I suspect this action was intentional to provoke a confrontation since we did not call housekeeping and schedule an appointment for cleaning that morning. I went to the front desk and waited for Becky to finish her phone call; she did not acknowledge me standing there even after she was through with her call. I said hello to her, handed her the cards and informed her they were not working, and we were locked out. She raised her voice in a confrontational manner stating, “that’s because you were supposed to call and schedule an appointment this morning and you didn’t. They could not get a hold of you! You lied to me! They tried calling your phone and you did not answer. I told you to call!” I told her we left early for the entire day, and I did not have any messages. Answering my phone is not the issue here. I tried to calmly resolve the matter, but she continued to raise her voice and talk over me, in front of other customers. This lack of professionalism and disrespect towards guests is unacceptable. I walked away and went to our room. To my surprise, the situation escalated further when she called our room around 10pm! Again, she began accusing me “of lying to her” and kept repeating that she “told me to call.” I attempted to talk to her but was unable to get a word in. Her tone and manner during the phone call were utterly unprofessional and intimidating. Feeling uncomfortable, I ended the phone call. I decided to address the issue in person. I approached the front desk and asked Becky if we could have a calm conversation because this was unsettling. However, she continued with her aggressive and hostile behavior, constantly interrupting me, talking over me, while raising her voice and baselessly accusing me of lying to her; which made it quite difficult to achieve a resolution. As a paying customer, I expected to receive a certain level of respect. Becky's verbal abuse and rude behavior was inappropriate. The issues we encountered were unacceptable. Unfortunately, all of the other hotels in the area had no vacancies or we would have left. I hope they have audio on their cameras at the front desk, it would be beneficial to learn how paying guest are treated. Of all the places we have traveled and stayed, this aweful experience was a first. I asked for the managers number the next morning but was told "they didn't have a number for her." I left my contact information and wrote a letter but it's now August 18th and have not heard...

I stayed here for 3 nights on a long weekend starting Thanksgiving day, this year. When I got to the counter there was a friendly lady working, it was about 11pm. We had a nice conversation and I saw her 1 more time during the trip. She told me to ask the day person for more info about a specific attraction, so the next day I did. This lady was also very nice and we had a nice chat.

Rooms were very clean, though not super quiet with fairly thin walls. For a 2 star hotel, it was well worth the price. Nice also that they had a fire tv, so I could load all my apps and shows to watch, then just reset it when leaving. Continental breakfast definitely left a lot to be desired, and location is not great if you don't have a car, which I don't. Only saving grace is that there was a bus stop just outside the hotel that ran every 30 minutes only until 9pm, and not at all on Sundays.

Overall, excellent stay. I'm coming for a few days again this weekend, and if I didn't want to be more IN Port Angeles, I would stay...

Our room was super clean and more modern (i.e. faux wood flooring in the bathroom) than the Super 8's we've stayed at in other states. The only smell, if any, came from the heating unit only when we first turned it on (which we expected). Genuinely impressed.

Front desk lady assisting with our check-in was super friendly and helpful however the lady at check-out was not so much. She didn't say anything to us until we said first, "have a nice day!" It didn't bother us though. Plenty of parking. Great location. Bit of sound from cars on the street.

Knowing what their "breakfast" was, we didn't bother getting our granola and coffee there. But for the price (we paid $136 after tax for 1 night), I think they could offer more, i.e one or two types of pastries to...
