Whenever I need supplies for my car I always choose AutoZone over the Oh Oh Oh store (just their jingle alone makes me not ever want to go there). I live in Snohomish so this Port A store isn’t my usual one. My store has helpful people; equally to the Monroe Wa store as well. But the customer service I received today from Johnny Blaze (mainly) and Travis K was exceptional and worth writing this review. Not only did JB (hope he’s ok with this nickname) sense what I needed, he immediately informed me of the special that was available for the stuff I was buying. So at a near 50% savings, he pointed out I would get a whole bunch of car care with the offer. There was just one problem. They seemed to out of one of the sponge scrubs that came with the kit. After apologizing many times over the time he was taking to find said missing sponge, Travis K came to decision to upgrade me to a better item. At no extra charge I might add. If I was a local, I would’ve happily come back for it when it came back in stock. As a business owner, I understand the woes of inventory during COVID and did not see this shortage as any lack of supply on AutoZone’s end. Quite the contrary. It tells me I wasn’t the only one who saved money because of JB. So, I hope you share this with your staff at the store. And wouldn’t be great if JB got another one of those customer service pins for his upcoming birthday. He told me if was coming up while ringing me up and pointing out my savings. Now just clone him and send him to Snohomish county.
I also sent a copy of this through your feedback option at AutoZone.com. Please share this again if it didn’t appear there. Or I am happy to do it again. Website just reset and didn’t give any indication it went through or an email confirmation. Want to credit where...
Read moreA buddy and I went to the Port Angeles AutoZone where we met team member “Jake.” We were in an urgent need of a master cylinder for an old truck with a disc brake conversion. We had an idea what master cylinder to order. Jake didn’t actually care what the part was on, as we explained what we thought it should fit. He took the time to look through the books and found what we needed. Jake didn’t have the part in stock, so he began calling around for us….. not just other AutoZone stores in the area, but other brand part stores trying to locate anyone with a 1970 Corvette master cylinder. And wouldn’t you know it, he found one at a small parts store on the opposite end of town. We had been in that same AutoZone and have never experienced this degree of customer service. It am sure AutoZone would have preferred Jake just order one from their warehouse for next day drop, but this seriously earned more customer loyalty than charging what would have been roughly $15.00 more for an Autozone Part, than the one he found for us at Baxter Auto Parts. My buddy and I are long time gear heads and recall the days of the crusty old parts counter person that could see the part I. Your hand when you walked in the front door and tell you what it fit before you got to counter. It’s a lost art, but Jake has restored our faith - keep up the...
Read moreBuddha, Jake, Dutch and the other staff went above and beyond helping me when a cylinder started misfiring on the highway as I was going through town. They told me how to change the spark coil myself! Now I have a new skill! Useful since I'm on the road a lot and this has happened before. They also gave me a lot of information about some upgrades to my vehicle that I am looking into, not as a sales tactic, just as enthusiasts. They never talked down to me, nor mansplained, nor lost patience with me through the whole ordeal.
When it turned out to be more than just the coil, Buddha referred me to a non profit mechanic shop. Since they were not available Buddha then referred me to another shop up the road that was super friendly and got me in the next morning. It turned out there was water in the spark plug cavity!! Now I'm looking into how that happened...
A general plus about Auto Zone is that when you ask them to read your codes, they use a much better code reader than the other guys. It's better for diagnosing, it clears the codes, and they can email you the results.
I'm so glad they were...
