Luby's — Restaurant in Port Arthur

I recently placed a call-in order at Luby's, and my initial interaction with the person who answered the phone left something to be desired. They seemed a bit short and, dare I say, somewhat rude. Nonetheless, I proceeded to place my order and provided my name for reference.

Upon arrival at the restaurant, we arrived around the 15-minute mark as indicated for our order to be ready. As we pulled up to the drive-thru speaker, there was a slight communication hiccup, possibly due to the age of the equipment. However, things took a positive turn when we were instructed to pull up to the window.

At the window, we were immediately greeted with a friendly smile and a kind, welcoming voice. The staff member swiftly and efficiently bagged our plates, took our payment, and all the while maintained a lovely tone. She wished us a wonderful day and expressed her hope that we would enjoy our meal.

I must admit that my first impressions, based on the initial phone interaction, had me considering choosing a different location for future orders. However, the warm and gracious greeting, coupled with the delightful mannerisms displayed during the pickup, completely changed my perspective. It's instances like this that remind me that excellent customer service can make all the difference...

Called to get a whole lemon ice box pue and they said they had one. On my way callef back and said no they didn't. Maranda put me on hold to find out what whole pie they did have and after 15 minutes i was already in the to go room. So i placed an order to go and asked if they had an individual piece of lemon pie...nope!! I ordered nee potatoes and mac cheese. No new potatoes and the mac was cooking would 15 minutes more. Had to get 2 other veggies. Come on Luby's get it together. Oh by the way i am leaving Lubys now and never heard...

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE DAY OR NIGHT ITS HORRIBLE LIVER WAS HARD,MAC AND CHEESE WAS SALTY TO THE 10TH POWER, CORNBREAD WAS PRETTY BUT HARD, GRAVY WAS AS BITTER AND DARK AS A SPARE TIRE, YEAST ROLLS ARE ALWAYS TOUGH AND VERY HARD PRETTY BUT HARD. THE MASH POTATOES WERE GOOD OF COURSE JUST ADD HOT WATER..HMM. BACON CHEESE STEAK WAS SALTY TONIGHT USUALLY PRETTY DELICIOUS. COT ME 29. PLUS TO THROW IN THE GARBAGE.
