Waffle House — Restaurant in Port Arthur

I have absolutely loved Waffle House ever since I was a young girl so when we moved here (Nederland) I was over joyed to see we had one close enough to actually go to! My husband took myself and 2 of our 3 boys to eat breakfast on New Year's morning to start off the new year in our new town off on a good start. The atmosphere was great! The people were awesome! We were greeted, we were waited on promptly and we enjoyed every bite of our food! This was our 6yr old's first time to eat at a WH and he has a new favorite breakfast place!!! We will definitely be back!

*The ONLY reason I'm giving 4 starts and not 5 is for the simple fact that after we paid we could hear our waitress tell her fellow employees that she was not happy with her tip we left her. Our waitress named Bella made our experience horrible. She has a rude attitude, and no kind of "Hi how are you guys doing today. I'm Bella and I'll be your waitress?" When we got our plates and my husband cut open his eggs over easy and they were RAW and she told us that over easy and over light are the same thing and that they were supposed to be raw (keep in mind that we always go to Waffle House when we get the chance), She Never asked if we needed a refill on our drinks and my husband and I sat there waiting. Then she came while we were still eating and asked if we were done eating like " Noo!" We felt rushed the entire time. On the upside the Table washer was very respectful and nice even though my daughter made a mess so I left the table cleaner...

Been there twice in past 2 weeks. Service was painfully slow. No customers in there at 6am. They wouldn't answer phone when I tried to call the order in to save time. Had to get money back when I realized the cook forgot to put bacon on to cook when my order was almost ready. I didn't have time to wait. I work in the local plant on a 12 hour shift currently 7 days a week. I went in to grab quick bacon and eggs breakfast because you can't get that at fast food drive thru and convenience stores.
