Aquarius — Restaurant in Port Clinton

Outside small establishment. It was difficult to find the entrance. "enter here" sign is blocked by parked cars. Didn't know if it was a public place or a private club. Sit at a table, scan, order, and pay over phone style. My experience with service was horrible, downright a debacle. It was very difficult to get anyone's attention. Didn’t seem that busy... There were many open tables, but I happened to sit at a table that had been "reserved. "... and was asked to move. So we sat at the bar. Have you every had a server so rushed they come to ask you "how things are and if you need anything else" while you have a drink to your face or food in your mouth and walk away quickly before you can respond? Lol, Yep. We had one of those. I think it may have even been the owner. When I ask to close a tab, I always say, "When you get a free minute, please..." Well... The "I only make drinks" bartender was not very polite. Didn't talk with us or ask us if we wanted a drink. Couldn't be bothered when I asked to cash out or literally turn around and communicate to another employee. "You will have to get someone else." You could hear the rudeness and scolding in his voice. I felt like an inconvenience. Maybe it was because I moved from a "reserved table" and already ordered, paid, and tipped. That was my impression, at least. I will be passing this place on my future visits to the area. Rude people and...

Went for Father’s Day in the afternoon. Only one other table of 2. Wait staff were great!!! The rest was not.

Took 20+ minutes to get a beer and a mixed drink cause the bartender couldn’t stop chatting up the 2 at the bar to do her job. Table next to us (the only other people) got their drinks after they were done with their food. Clearly, this employee doesn’t give a lick about her coworkers and makes the place look shabby.

The kitchen screwed up the Detroit pizza order and would take another 20 minutes for a new. Two of us who got the Cubano sandwich have been dealing with them since about an hour after we left and it’s now the next morning.

Will not be referring people...

🎉ITS OPEN! And under new ownership- in a good way! If you’re in the area, make sure to stop by and check out the new menu owner Jordan and his staff have created, and are working on! Their burgers are absolutely mouthwatering, and their chili is a homemade recipe (not from a can or GFS!) The drinks are cold, the patio is large, the staff are super friendly, and the view of the lake is the icing on the cake!
