We absolutely love love love ❤️💖💓👍 the Mandarin House you cannot get anything better. No matter what I have chosen to eat whether it's the shrimp and broccoli (which is on there healthy menu, although most of their menu is healthy) the chicken chow mein, or the manchurian beef (which is so tender it just melts in your mouth) it all amazing. I have eaten most things on their menu and honestly have never once been disappointed . If you're looking for something spicy they can take care of that as well with szechuan shredded beef, or rainbow chicken. I have been coming here since I was born and my parents even before that over 35 years. We love the owners Jennifer and Richard. This is a GREAT place to take a date or just to go out with the family. They have many different alcoholic beverages my absolute favorite is the ZOMBIE but they have many to choose from. If you're looking for just some appetizers the Poo Poo tray is amazing. This has a few of everything fried shrimp, beef kabobs, eggrolls, pork spare ribs and depending on how many people is how big of a portion you will get. Everyone can order there food individually or you can do it family style were aa few entrees are chosen and everyone just spins the lazy Susan to share the meal. They have dessert too. All and all The Mandarin House is the ABSOLUTE BEST PLACE AROUND IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR ASIAN QUIZNE!! I and P.s they offer takeout too you just need to call ahead and pick it up. I won't go anywhere else. Thanks again Jennifer and Richard, and be seeing you...
Read more1/2 of my favorite local Chinese food restaurants! I had them cater my work event and they did not disappoint. The tray sizes were very generous (Full shown), but I don’t know if the half tray would have fed the 25-30 staff members. The full trays were more than enough AND we were able to have very full “to go” boxes for at least 10 employees.
Everyone loved the food, especially since it was majority of the staff’s experience eating authentic Chinese food. Pictured is complimentary steamed rice, veggie chow mein, chicken fried rice, and kung pao chicken. Staff advised they like kung pao chicken so I ordered a full tray but it wasn’t as touched as the other entrees, and it was surprisingly very spicy!
Utensils, fortune cookies, sauce, and extra peanuts were provided (and put on the side). Since I ordered for pickup on a busy day, Jennifer was kind enough to reserve a parking spot for me right in the front of the restaurant. Jennifer was a pleasure to work with from the very beginning. She was patient, made excellent recommendations, and was kind. When I picked up my order, it was on point. No complaints! It was all still warm by the time I made it back to work.
I will definitely order from here again, as I frequented this restaurant plenty of times in the past, but also a few times before my actual work event to give the food a taste since it had been a few years since I last ate here.
Thank you for the memorable lunch,...
Read moreI have visited this place hundreds of times since the 1980s. But noticed over the years that the quality and quantity of the servings started to decrease instead of them increasing the price.
Then, it really just got annoying how the male owner kept coming to talk, often criticizing our requests, trying to be funny but not funny at all, in fact very rude! They have rules for clients at this place, rules in the restrooms, rules about not dirtying the table cloth, asked to keep my feet under the table if my toe was sticking out, even asked me to stop looking at my phone while I eat! etc, etc, etc.
Once I had my child, I noticed they don’t have high chairs or booster seats, with so many rules I’m sure they don’t even want kids in their restaurant.
Lastly, what’s up with them bringing the bill-check to the table as soon as they bring you the food? Do they not understand the concept of making you feel welcome? Because they honestly do quite the opposite in every aspect, especially the husband owner.
After many years and generations of coming to this place, we’re moving on to the Dumpling House...
