Been going here for over 20 years- still loving the food and atmosphere and missing it since I moved away, I stop by frequently whenever I'm in the area visiting.
For lunch just the right portion sizes with a variety of options, all coming with an appetizer, salad, and main course (you can still order from the regular menu as well).
For dinner, you can order the family style 3-4 course meal specials (which come out in succession and give you time to enjoy each course) or order a la carte from their family style entrées.
My favorites are: lemon chicken, sesame chicken or beef, beef & broccoli, pork lomein. For apps: cream cheese fried wontons can't be beat, the pot stickers have the most delicious sauce you'll want to pour all over everything you eat. They also have a great pupu platter with a little fire cup so you can add some fun to your food.
The service has always been great, Jenny the owner is gracious and caring. I've only ever seen one group be upset with the service on a very crowded evening and several guests including myself told them off when they were being blatantly rude and talking down to the staff. Lots of repeat customers and regulars- not to mention it's next to the military base so manners are a big deal.
Over the years the decor (and size) has changed a lot from a hole in the wall/hallway with plastic tables and chairs to a large dining room with plush booths and contemporary Asian artwork on the walls to a little gift shop area showcasing a lot of the jewelry the owner makes during non-peak hours. I've bought several pieces for myself and as gifts and they are extremely high quality...
Read moreThe Chinese Dumpling House was a hit for my family get together. It had been some time since we have seen each other. Everyone loved it.
The parking is very easy. We were greeted with a big hello and how are you. The service at the Dumpling House is excellent. We had a group of over 20 people. The server who is also the owner with his wife was very friendly. Yes, he did all the serving himself.
We went with the kung pao chicken, sesame chicken with a shrimp with wontons appetizer and hot and sour soap.
I asked for extra spicey and wow did I get it. I loved it. The sesame chicken was crispy outside and tender on the inside. The hot and sour soup was full of ingredients and very tasty. The shrimp appetizers were incredible. The wontons were crispy and full of flavor. We had excellent food that made our get together extra nice.
The dessert was a combination of cake, M&M’s, whipped cream and cookies. They were delicious and a perfect ending to our plentiful meal.

Read moreThere was food (vegetables and sheets for egg rolls being prepared) sitting out in the dining area, anyone could have walked and tampered with them. Tables had nothing, no sweetener for the tea, no salt. No packaged condiments, then you ask for sugar, they bring a sugar container, c’mon you are running a restaurant, invest in packaged condiments (the cost of doing business), the food was ok but the only reason we ended up there is because the other restaurant down the street was closed. The waiter was rude (I’m assuming he is the owner) The bathroom was clean but had dish soap for your hands. To me, this is a restaurant that you find in a poor neighborhood where sanitation is not their first priority. The prices are very high. $65 for 2 plates of food and a some soup. I WILL NOT...
