So far my experience is pretty tame, No military discount here though or at least the guy said not at this time, so they probably do special occasions. So CONs: 1 crab cake cost 10.95 with fries it's 2 dollars more, the taste is ok, but not worth the price. Also cheese fries can only be ordered alone they won't add it to fries you get with your food so even if fries are 2 dollars more cheese fries are like 8 bucks plus and there is no way eased droped the apparently regular melted cheese worth 6 and some change. PRO: Fresh oysters were surprisingly good worth the price ponzu sauce carried though. Neutral Ground: the 4pc fish was painfully bland on its own, but if you like sauces then you would like them, and the pieces were huge I would stick to the 2pc if you have a small stomach. It's good for an experience but maybe not a constant date out choice and this review was made while I was craving fried fish sooo.... you have been warned ok byeeee. TLDR: oyster ok, fish with sauce ok, get 2pc for small stomachs, crab cake avoid the...
Read moreI also visit Pt.Hueneme Beach to a get a dose of sunshine. It's about a mile and a half from my residence so it's conveniently close. It's a different kind of crowd from Mandalay resort but they have a restaurant that features delectable seafood cuisine that people seemed to enjoy together with their beloved families or loveones. The restaurant also features music both stereo and live depending on the season, I believe live music is during summer months. Last year I witnessed some incredible bands as well as solo talents playing some UNFORGETTABLE ROCK & ROLL CLASSICS that brought back beautiful memories growing up in this community when Oxnard Shores was nothing but natural sandunes...Such lovely highschool memories. I came back in 2017 and now i know. I made the best decision. By the way, come and see that great restaurant in Pt. Hueneme Beach . Get entertained while you eat your seafood lunch or dinner. They also have some mouth watering burgers served with finger...
Read moreRead moreJust got the run around here over the type of fish. My wife and I each ordered the halibut fish and chips. When our order came up, it was obvious they had given my wife the regular fish. I realized I was charged for the regular, so she rang me up for the difference in price for the halibut ($9) and waited. Not a big deal, that happens. A few minutes later we were given the same batch of fish. I questioned it at the time and was assured it was halibut. I thought that maybe these particular pieces just had a different shape than all the other pieces of fried halibut I have seen here. Once cutting it open, it was obvious that the pieces were the other type of fish (pollock, I believe). We took it up to the counter and I pointed this out, but was again assured this was halibut. The color and texture were definitely not halibut. She brought out a piece of fried pollock to prove that we did have halibut, but all it did was prove to me that it wasn’t. She walked...
