Anacappuccino — Restaurant in Port Hueneme

I recently visited this coffee shop on a moderately busy Sunday morning, hoping for a pleasant experience, but unfortunately, it was far from that. While the coffee itself was pretty decent, and the food being subpar the atmosphere was completely ruined by the appalling behavior of the owner towards the staff.

As someone who has worked in food service and as a previous barista for 6 years at another local coffee house, I completely understand the challenges of the job. It can especially be overwhelming when you're first learning...It was disheartening to witness the owner publicly berating and belittling a young man who seemed to be training while he was simply trying to take our orders. The owner's behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable. At one point, she even yelled at the poor guy for not knowing how to input my drink order saying "seriously? You've made this drink 100 times," got upset because he forgot to put the whipped cream in the fridge and even snatched the pen out of his hand while he was in the middle of taking our order.

Having experienced degrading bosses in the past, I find it extremely disappointing to see such behavior in a supposedly customer-facing environment. A coffee shop should be a welcoming space for both customers and employees alike. The treatment of staff directly reflects on the overall ambiance of a place, and in this case, it left much to be desired. I unfortunately won't be returning to this establishment...

I am someone who has enjoyed a lot of coffee, from the most sheik and competitive coffee shops, to the best specialty coffee brands for brewing at home. The latte I recieved from Anacappuccino is no joke. I witnessed an experienced barista prepare my drink with precision and care, using what must have been some very quality beans; because the flavor and texture of my latte were out of this world. Decadently creamy and velvety smooth; it burst onto the palate rich tasting notes of dark chocolate, toasted nuts, smoked wood, and holiday spices, such as clove or nutmeg. Just exactly what you want in your morning cup of Joe. Anacappucino is very deserving of its 4.7...

Anacappuccino is a cozy and welcoming café, perfect for starting the day with a good breakfast. The food was fresh and nicely prepared, with generous portions that felt satisfying. Their coffee is rich, aromatic, and clearly made with care – one of the highlights of the visit. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was served quickly, which created a pleasant dining experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with comfortable seating and a calm vibe, making it a great place to enjoy a quiet morning meal or even get some work done. Definitely a spot I would recommend for anyone who enjoys good coffee and a relaxed...
