The food is always good here. I normally get the chicken shawarma wraps, or the chicken rice bowl. It's always made to order, and is ready fairly quick. The chicken is spun on a rotisserie throughout the day, and is carved off fresh, and placed on the meals, as you wait. The only negatives, I would say, are that they can be a bit pricey, unless you catch the deals they have on certain days. $5 chicken wrap is a great deal. If you order the rice bowl, you get your choice of a side, one of which is hummus. The hummus is great, but you do not get a pita with it, and you need to purchase that separately. I personally like to put fatoosh? dressing on my food from there. It is made in house, but I believe they charge a dollar or more, for a small plastic container... Overall, I recommend Cedar Sub and Salad. Great job guys, I appreciate your food.

I think I met the owner very nice and humorous guy. Store needs to spread, more people must know about this place. I’ve left Dearborn and now live in port Huron foods not the same and neither are the people. This place food tastes like home and the people feel like family. They had a sale for a 7$ chicken shawarma today I also had the tabbouli dressing is SO GOOD and I don’t normally like fried pita but wow food is so flavorful and seasoned more than any Mediterranean place I’ve been to

1/7/2022: As I eat this sandwich today (Chicken Schwarma): Delicious! The always fresh, seasoned, rotisserie chicken, fresh vegetables and amazing sauce, continues to deliver great flavor and portions for price. Haven't been. GO! Finally a different flavor in town. Their limited Lebanese meals are really good. Definitely get the chicken Schwarma.

🌯 Five Glorious Stars for Cedar Sub & Salad – Port Huron’s Hidden Flavor Fortress! 🌯

If Zeus himself descended from Mount Olympus for lunch, he’d ditch the ambrosia and fly directly to Cedar Sub & Salad in Downtown Port Huron. This humble Mediterranean gem doesn’t just serve food—it delivers divine experiences wrapped in warm pita and sprinkled with the spice of ancient legends.

Let’s start with the Shawarma sandwich. Calling it a sandwich is like calling the Grand Canyon a “ditch.” This thing is a portable pillar of meat glory, big enough to use as a flotation device in an emergency and packed tighter than grandma’s suitcase on a trip to Lebanon. It’s juicy, spiced perfectly, and honestly might qualify as a security threat—it’s that powerful.

Then there’s the falafel. Oh, sweet crunchy bliss! Each ball is a golden, crispy nugget of chickpea magic, fresh enough to make you question if there’s a secret falafel garden growing behind the building. They’re light, flavorful, and—dare I say—mystically blessed.

Let’s take a reverent pause for the homemade garlic sauce. This elixir of life deserves its own zip code. Creamy, pungent, and addictively delicious, it’s the kind of sauce that makes you want to dip everything you own in it: fries, shawarma, your car keys. You’ll wake up at 2 a.m. craving it. Probably forever.

And speaking of dipping, the hand-cut fries? Absolute sorcery. Crispy, golden, and dusted with a secret blend of Mediterranean spices probably guarded by a falafel-wielding djinn. These fries are the stuff of late-night dreams and poetic odes.

Shoutout to Joanne at the counter—a beacon of professionalism and courtesy in a world of chaos. She runs the front like a well-oiled tabbouleh machine, with a smile that says “Welcome to flavor heaven, my friend.”

The whole place is spotless—like, grandma-approved-clean. The kind of clean where you could eat off the floor… but why would you, when you have literal mountains of delicious food right in front of you?

And don’t even get me started on the prices. For food that tastes like it was hand-crafted by the culinary ancestors of Mount Lebanon, the bill is shockingly reasonable. You could feed your entire Dungeons & Dragons group for less than the price of two sad salads at a chain joint.

In conclusion: Cedar Sub & Salad is not just a restaurant—it’s an edible passport to flavor ecstasy. Go hungry. Leave...

Ok, so I have love for food and a passion for letting people know the truth. The guys were nice but the food has sent me and my pancreas on a possible trip to the ER with how oily and heavy the food is. I read the reviews and make my decisions based on a collective of others sentiments towards the food. So I had high Hope's I truly did. The fries that were the normal seasoning were ok, they had a hint of nutmeg but the oil was heavy. Now let's get to the shawarma...I ordered 5 of them. Whatever the bread is made of is extremely heavy, the chicken has absolutely no seasoning, not even remotely enough garlic sauce, II asked them before I left if we had sauces, he specifically stated "everything is in the bag" and he mentioned it being the garlic sauce. There was NO sauces in the bag whatsoever and to be quite frank with how dry and tasteless it was I dont believe he added any to the wraps. We proceeded to add salt and tahini we had at home and it still didnt cut it for us. We will not be returning. Only reason I gave it 2 stars is because of affordability and the amount of food you get but it is NOT worth it at least it...
