Have dined in there several times and always had great food and service. We also get take out a couple of times a month and accept that the food won’t be as good as dine in, but our experience tonight was some of the worst service I’ve ever gotten.
Placed our order online, picked it up and brought it home. Realized that they didn’t give us our tacos and rice and beans my wife had wanted. I called and explained and the girl questioned me asking if I was sure it wasn’t in there, like I had developed Taco Blindness or something. I confirmed that they were not included and she said she could give me a credit or they could make them. I said we wanted the food and asked how long it would be. She said 5 minutes and before I could say anything else she said “sorry ‘bout that bye” and hung up on me. I had wanted to ask about getting an entire new order made since the rest of the food would be cold before I got home but was hung up on before I could ask.
I got there to pick up the missed portion of the order and there were 2 girls behind the counter giggling and looking at their phone. It took them a good 30 seconds to acknowledge the fact I was standing there (no other customers were waiting) and when they finally did I advised I was there for the tacos that had been missed on my order. I could see a to go order waiting on the rack and they asked what name it was under. I advised that they didn’t ask for my name when I called but gave the name the original order was under. They looked at each other like I had asked how many miles it is from her to Pluto and then asked who I had spoken with. I said the girl who answered the phone, she didn’t give a name. Finally one of them opened the to go container and said okay this is it. I asked if they were sure and they said yes, one of the girls handed it to me and asked “is there anything else?”. No apology, nothin. They didn’t give half a f$&@
Finally get home and eat and luckily my wife’s tacos were good. The rest of the order however was horrible. My “shredded chicken” consisted of a few shredded pieces and large hard chunks of chicken about the size of my thumb.
They didn’t have their A Team working tonight for sure. It’s a shame, I really loved this place until tonight - but the experience from the phone call to picking up the missed portion to choking down my entree has ruined this place for me. Hoping the new Mexican restaurant in Ft....
Read moreSo we visit a lot of Mexican Restaurants. I'm a big tamale/nacho/burrito kinda guy. I was in the mood for Tamales and a Tostada. I ordered the Tamales Authenticos with Mole. I never had a red sauce that was called Mole. So I think that was incorrect it's usually a brown gravy like sauce. So that was disappointing. I ordered a tostada with beans and no meat. It came out with just ground beef. They offered to make it right but I'm not a guy that sends anything back to the kitchen. So I ate what they gave me. It was not terrible but it was not great either. My child ordered a salad with steak on the side. She was disappointed when it came out on top of the salad which was the same shredded style lettuce they use in the taco which she doesn't like the taste of. It has a corn mix in it as well and she ate a bite of the steak and it was leather. When time came to collect plates the waitress understood she didn't eat any of it and took it off the bill. So the waitress was fantastic and understanding. I just don't know how the food got so out of whack with or order. We had a dessert for Mother's Day and it was good. I was not full when we left. My daughter said she would not return but the wife's Fajitas were beautiful. The FIL and MIL liked there's as well. They all got what they had wanted. I was hoping for better since I love Mexican food so much. Take it or leave it I can't decide...
Read moreWe stopped in here while in town for an event. It was a Friday night, and very busy, but moving folks through well, and no atmosphere of chaos. The staff was extremely friendly and efficient, our wait time was very reasonable considering the day, time, and business (with a party of 5 and no reservation). Very clean and great atmosphere. Our server was a very pleasant and cheerful young lady, who did not appear stressed or frantic, which speaks well of both their staffing, organization, and suggests an establishment that takes care of their people, which is a huge positive in this day and age of overworked and underpaid stressed out service industry worker. Our drink order (great draft specials, btw) and complimentary chips and salsa came quickly. The menu had a fairly standard bill of fare of Amerxican food, but the preparation and presentation of all our meals was well above the "La Hacienda" type commercial grade dishes that you get at most Mexican bar and grill establishments, and excellent portions. No attempts to reinvent wheels that no one asked for, just very well prepared and presented classics at an extremely fair price. Server was attentive without being overbearing, no rush to drop off bills or get us out the door. Great experience all around, second visit from out of state in two years, and very...
