Dropped in for lunch a couple of days ago. Ordered the chicken fajitas and an Apple Joya. I was really tempted to take a picture of the plate ( I know Covid-19 is affecting business worldwide so I'm going to go easy here) the chicken fajitas had very little bell pepper and onion. The chicken fajitas had very little seasoning. I expect to taste comino, garlic, cilantro, poblano etc etc...I didn't get any of that. Actually asked for more lime to flavor things up. The rice was good. The refried beans were good. The salsas were good, especially the red one they give you with the chips-- I couldn't stop eating it. Pretty middle of the road, overall. I'm hoping they are just trying to save some money by not going BIG on the spices. Add a "Bold" option to the menu for people who WANT big time cumin, paprika, garlic, cloves and other spices in their dishes.

Don’t come here! Food taste good salty but good got the burrito plate for 15 dollars and received a fist sized burrito and a scoop of beans and rice and one hot sauce had to ask for more. Complete rip off I can get a burrito 3 times the size anywhere in port lavaca for 10 to 12 dollars with guacamole sour cream pico side salad and plenty of salsa. I have medium hands my fist is not that big. JS do better.

After a long day at work I just wanted to pick up some “good food” before getting ready to rest!! My Coctel de Camaron was just completely horrible. I didn’t even take one bite, didn’t want to risk getting sick. The Shrimp were not cleaned at all and even looked like they had mold.

I'm just gonna tell you my experience at this restaurant from start to finish and if you found this place to be swell, by all means go for it. Here goes

So me and my girlfriend went out to dinner there. It was about 2 hours before closing time and the place wasn't busy at all. At the most, there were 2-3 couples (including us). Right away, i will say the place looks great. I love the decorations around the place and the overall design.

So we ordered our drinks, and 10 minutes later we got them. That's when I immediately had an issue. First off, as i mentioned, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. So why in the hell did it take 10-15 minutes just to get 2 drinks? I've been to multiple restaurants where its been extremely busy and even then, those waiters and waitresses were able to get our drinks in a timely manner.

Now im sure there are many more delectable items on the menu, but the one I ordered was very bland in taste. I ordered the fried fish sandwich, ate the fish and the fries, and called it good. I couldn't eat anymore because the amount of blandness there was nearly made me puke. Again, im only critiquing one specific menu item, this doesn't count for any meals i haven't tried there and is the only thing that bumped this score up from a 1 star rating to a 2 star rating.

Like i said, the decorations and the overall design of the place is very good, but somehow it lacks that intangible family restaurant feel. Personally at least, im sure you can disagree with that. It just felt empty and as bland as the fish sandwich i ordered.

This was my first time going to this restaurant, and based on what this first impression was, i didn't enjoy it very well. This will probably be my only time at this restaurant, and im sorry if you're a viewer of this who just so happens to be a fan of this restaurant. Don't let my story of my first and only experience ruin it for you. Maybe in time ill change my mind and give it another chance, but as of right now, 2 star rating (though it deserves less), and my...

The pina coladas I had here were very good. The salsa is AMAZING- I also ordered chicken quesadilla and it was enough for then and a snack later. The service was excellent. My friend had the avocado (I called them dinosaur eggs (yes! These are some super avocados!) They hollow out an avocado then fill it with (you can choose with what) and there is also some cheese in thetr ,,,its breaded then deep fried & served with a light cheese sauce on top. Its not too much but again proportionate. I had a bite and it really was good. The restaurant is connected to the Royal Inn here in Port Lavaca and I cannot brag on them enough! I got an amazing, almost too good to be true, app called Agoda. This is my 3 trip using them on the entire stay. The rooms are immaculate. You can tell that they have been renovated and then taken care of- none of the usual drama that comes with a low rate that lasts until you see the room and know that the sinful rate u paid seems like highway robbery haha. Not here! These people are great! Oh yes- snacks and things like hot dogs or breakfast items. Ramen noodles- bottled water. All...
