El Mirador restaurant — Restaurant in Port Lavaca

I got to say, out of all the places I've been to in Port Lavaca, this has to be my favorite. It's labeled as a Mexican restaurant but I ALWAYS get the burgers there. The burgers are huge and are ay a reasonable price. Of course the fries are not included so plan to spend money on that as well. The staff is always nice and on point with our orders. My coworkers and I go there so often, they know what we want! I've given other items on the menu a try and they are all worth it. All good prices, all the time. This restaurant checked all my boxes for a small town restaurant. The parking lot was almost full, the place was filled with locals, and, the staff was friendly. I had the street tacos. The only picture I could share would be an empty plate. Each of the tacos had a generous portion of meat, queso fresco and avocado. The bowl of beans ranks among the best I’ve ever tasted. Four of us tried this place for the first time. We didn't know what to expect but were up to trying something new. The place is not fancy but it became clear that they put all of their attention on lots of cool menu choices and making tasty food! I had the snack burger that had nacho cheese and hot Cheetos. What a great mix and the bun was perfect. It didn't squish down to nothing. Whatever brand it was - they should keep using it. It held all the ingredients and a pretty thick patty, very well!
