It was my first time there and for my wife also. I ordered a chicken salad on a croissant and it was delicious. It was so good that I went back and grabbed a container of it to take home with me, along with one of their cookies. My wife ordered some sweet tea and when she went to get it the container was out. They said that they would brew some more. We waited until I was just about done with my meal and asked again at the counter (a good 25 minutes after we originally asked). The guy at the counter said he just needed to add the sugar and we waited some more. Never at any point did he mention a time frame involved in this process and although we could see other employees in the back, it was the guy at the front counter who needed to make it. We waited well over half an hour for this sweet tea and would just have gotten another drink had we been told that it would take this long. It ruined an otherwise stellar visit to this store. The food was delicious and when I ate the cookie the next day it was also good. The front counter guy was friendly and informative when asked about the menu items but again, never once mentioned the elongated time frame involved in waiting for the sweet tea, which my wife said was also delicious. Read moreWARNING ⚠️ Do NOT purchase a gift card from this Chicken Salad Chick. I purchased and paid for a $25.00 gift card to send to my mother at Christmas time. Just today she visited her local Chicken Salad Chick in North Carolina to use it for the first time and.......NO GOOD. I sent her the receipt with the card and now she needs to call some number to attempt to get some type of compensation. Not that $25.00 is that big of a deal......it's just the idea of it. Total SCAM. On another note, the food there is good.
FOLLOW UP..... My mother contacted Corporate CSC. She gave them the receipt details as well as the card info. It would appear they keyed in a wrong card number as it doesn't match the receipt. At CSC, when you purchase a gift card, they take a card, key it in, collect payment and hand it to you. It is not like they are hanging on some large display like at grocery store, etc. At any rate, they are not providing any compensation. They are referring the issue to the Port Orange location. Yesterday, I went in to buy one carry out container of chicken salad and had to wait in a long line of people ordering lunch. One person on the register and others wiping tables, wandering around, chatting. 15 minutes later when I get to check out, I said something to nice lady at the register about waiting so long in this line. She said, here is my District Mgr if you want to speak to her. So, I told the DM about waiting in line so long and nobody trying help the lady on the register get this line moving, and she copped an attitude with me! I simply let her know that they were lacking efficiency, and someone else needed to take over that other register. Now the line is almost to the door! As I’m leaving I can here the DM saying loudly, we are working as hard as we can (with her same poor attitude)! Your DM should never have attitude like that with customers.
