China Sun Buffet — Restaurant in Port Orchard

I love Chinese Buffets because of the varieties they have cooking. This was the first restaurant that popped up on Google maps.

The food was delicious and fresh. I was impressed with the sushi bar because Chinese buffets that serve sushi tend to be gross and stale. I triend 2 pieces of sushi from each platter, and they were delicious. The honey chicken was my favorite out of all the dishes they served.

Although the food was an excellent experience, the server was a whole different mess. She was very dead, and there was no smile or anything. She was the taller one, slim, and high cheek bones. Honestly, we were on our 2nd plate, and she came with a check!?!?! We paid for sodas, and basically, we except at least 1+ refills. Technically, I had to call her to get refills. My cup was empty, and I put it on the side for her to see, nothing. The whole universe could see my empty cup but not our server. My husband is a kind soul and still gave her a 20% tip. I wanted to give her 5%. She brewed a Karen within my inner soul that I never knew I had. I treat my servers with courtesy and respect, but this server was dead differently, inside and outside.

Overall, the food was fantastic, the server (She didn't even give us her name) she needs to probably clean the bathroom if she doesn't like...

We have dined here often and loved it, not today. First the server tried to sit us at a table with four people we did not know. There was plenty of empty tables. Now the food. All the seafood was tough which means overcooked.The salmon must have been the lowest grade, very fishy. Fish, if fresh should not smell fishy. Everything the salmon touched took on the fishy taste and smell. The tarter was very sharp and sour. The wonton soup looked more like hot water and had little to no flavor and the wonton were tough, both the meat and wrapper. Many of the meat dishes were dry to the point sauces didn't help. Speaking of sauces, most tasted like a heavy dose of fish sauce. I am so disappointed that I talked the Hub to drive all the way over there. It's going to be a long time...

So, at first I was impressed by the friendly customer service. The waiter is so nice and she was outstanding. Than we got the food. The variety is NOT like other people where making it to be. It was not that much of variety available. They open at 11 and we got there at 12 and there food was not hot. Some was cold, some warm. So I know the items was not freshly made. This is one reason I rated the food at a 3. The other reason is some of the food tasted weird. I don't know if they are using left over food from day before or what but it definitely did not taste good. There rice noodles, and some of there chicken breaded was yummy.
