Bethel Saloon — Restaurant in Port Orchard

Not sure who bartended on the evening of May 23rd 2022 as she wouldn't give us her name, but we had one of the most disrespectful experiences coming here. I am a disabled USMC vet, saw a POW/MIA flag flying, thought I'd get great service at a veteran bar. I walked in with my brother and as soon as we give our ID's the bartender says "these are fake, go somewhere else". I'm 30, my brother is 28, I asked her why, as we had been to 2 bars before then, she said idk go to those bars then. We pressed a little further and she then said she would call the police if we stayed there. Still shaking my head, what a bizarre situation. I asked for a manager and she said there is none in. My absolute favorite bar!!! And it's the dive bar of dive bars.. I live in Milwaukee WI, where there is no shortage of bars. I do a lot of traveling and I've been in bars from Milwaukee to Europe to bars thoughout the Caribbean to bars in 49 of the 50 states(except Alaska) and this dump keeps drawing me back. It's always fun and filled with bikers from the area. They offer daily food specials, all are delicious. The pizza is the best in the area. I stop in anytime I am in Port Orchard Washington. I LOVE this place, it's definitely a great place for the individual(s) that are down to earth and outgoing. The bartenders are very polite and really care about the customers. Have music including live bands, television's for sports fans, pull tabs for the gamblers and pool tables. A great evening place to drop in or stay awhile.
