This place is very bad. I went there today, November 19th, with my boyfriend and I ordered the Wonton Noodle Soup. It comes with wontons, bbq pork, noodles, and vegetables. I don’t eat the vegetables in my soup. So after I ate almost all of it I looked at the remaining broth and realized that the black specs weren’t seasoning, but it was multiple tiny bugs. They were so small but there were so many. They looked like little mites. I literally couldn’t believe it, that I had just consumed that with those in it. I showed my boyfriend and we tried showing our waiter but she spoke little english. She disregarded it, took our plates, and brought the check. I didn’t let my boyfriend say anything else because I was so shocked and disgusted that I just wanted to leave. I hate making a scene. I also didn’t think to take pictures because I was too busy crying. But I should’ve. I was super excited for my soup that I hadn’t realized what was in it. Im worried that my boyfriends food was bad too but we didn’t know. I’d never expect it to happen, ever, anywhere. I regret not saying anything because I shouldn’t have paid for such a thing. How should I have known that my soup was ridden with tiny bugs? Never going out to eat again. Please don’t go to, or order from...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for the past 5 years and I’ve gotta say I’ve never had any issues at all. Calling in for takeout takes roughly a minute to finish ordering and I normally only wait 15 minutes at the absolute most. Despite other reviewers, when I dine in the same server who’s been there since I’ve been going is always professional and welcoming and has never shown any attitude towards me or my friends/family. I always go here to get my monthly pho fix and it’s always the same. That’s something a lot of places never do. Consistency is what I like about restaurants. Never worse. Never better but I’ve tried the popular spots in places like Seattle and Renton but they just don’t do it like this place, so I’m going to assume this is the best I can get. This might sound like someone who works there is typing this and I know I can’t prove it’s a real person but I guarantee I’m not some paid actor. This place gets a bad rap but I’ve never had any issues. Maybe that’s because I’m not some self-entitled brat. Ordering food isn’t hard. You should know you what foods you can and can’t eat before you even consider going into an unfamiliar restaurant. Google is free. Do your research before you judge something. 10/10 please don’t leave I don’t like Pho...
Read moreThree words: Honey. Walnut. Prawns.
The owner/chef is so very nice and the food is incredible. The staff is attentive and courteous. The restaurant is clean and cozy. The food is seasoned perfectly and the vegetables are cooked and steaming hot, but still have a little crunch. Just right. There is so much to choose from! Whether you are a vegetarian or omnivore, there are several choices that will make everyone happy at the table.
Our honey walnut prawns were like a beautiful, crunchy sculpture with black and white sesame seeds and cilantro on top. We actually all said, "Wow..." when it arrived at the table. It really was that pretty. And crazy delicious.
Another hidden gem in Port Orchard....
