Tasty Kate's — Restaurant in Port Orford

Hands down my new favorite bakery! The atmosphere is so earthy and chill with plants and fun decorations everywhere. Kate is incredibly nice and I loved coming in just for the conversation! But, let's be real, the star of this place is the baked goods and man, are they good! I'll take a croissant over a donut any day, so this place was heaven for me. This place has so many different sweet and savory croissants that it makes for a tough decision! I got the highly reviewed cinnamon roll and I knew there was a reason only one was left after 40 minutes of this place being open. And let me tell you, go early and get one because you'll never want another cinnamon roll! Definitely worth stopping at if you're traveling through and worth visiting twice if you're staying in...

This is just the kind of great place you might blow past if you're in a hurry. They make great sweets and some savory breakfast items too (bakery window, not restaurant style). Fun spot run by a cat lover who has a delicate touch to her frosting and cream fillings. Cinnamon roll is excellent (no nasty raisins to cloud up the enjoyment of her puffy dough and frosting). Another winner from her case? Ask for the italian style sweet that comes in the shell shape. We have been here for the summer for work and I was only lucky enough to drop in here a few times. My first interaction with Kate was like talking to an old friend. It is obvious that she is an important part of this community, and she makes an awesome mocha.
